Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の内燃機関の排気浄化装置は、下層と該下層を覆う上層とを具備し、排気中の酸素濃度が高いときに酸素を吸蔵し且つ排気中の酸素濃度が低いときに酸素を放出する酸素吸蔵能を有する酸素吸蔵材が上層に含有させた排気浄化触媒と、排気浄化触媒の下流に配設された空燃比センサと、該空燃比センサからの出力と排気浄化触媒で生じた水素に起因する空燃比センサの出力の誤差とに基づいて、実際の空燃比が目標空燃比に一致するようにする空燃比制御手段とを具備する。

Claims (4)
- 下層と該下層を覆う上層とを具備し、排気中の酸素濃度が高いときに酸素を吸蔵し且つ排気中の酸素濃度が低いときに酸素を放出する酸素吸蔵能を有する酸素吸蔵材を前記上層に含有させた排気浄化触媒と、
前記排気浄化触媒の下流に配設された空燃比センサと、
前記空燃比センサからの出力と前記排気浄化触媒で生じた水素に起因する前記空燃比センサの出力の誤差とに基づいて、実際の空燃比が目標空燃比に一致するようにする空燃比制御手段と、
を具備することを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記上層は主たる触媒金属としてロジウムが含有され、前記下層は主たる触媒金属として白金が含有される、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記目標空燃比は、理論空燃比よりもわずかばかりリッチ側の空燃比とされる、ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記実際の空燃比を、理論空燃比よりもわずかばかりリッチ側の空燃比を挟んで所定の振幅で強制的に振動させる、ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
