Abstract
Description
本発明は、脊椎とその他の骨格を安定するために使用する骨固定プレートに関する。さらに具体的には、本発明は、締結装置の外れを簡単にしかも確実に防止するための最小限の特徴を持つ頚椎プレートに関する。
骨と骨格は、サポートや骨組みを提供する機能に影響を及ぼすさまざまな弱さの影響を受けやすい。骨格の弱さは、変性疾患、腫瘍、骨折、脱臼など多くの原因になりかねない。医学や工学技術の進歩により、それらの弱点を軽減あるいは治癒する多数の装置や技術を医師に提供してきた。
本発明は、プレートを骨に接続する装置に関する。本発明は、例えば、頚椎2個を固定するには望ましいものである。1つの実施例は、本発明は少なくても開口部が1個ある少なくてもスクリュー1個とプレート1個より成る。スクリューが開口部を通過して締め付けられると、プレートは骨に接続し始める。スクリューの頭部が妨害地点でプレートを妨害すると、挿入力が簡単に克服できる若干の抵抗力がある。スクリューがさらに押し込まれると、滑りばめ領域にパチンと入り、自由に移動が可能になる。 スクリューがプレートから外れる力はスクリュー頭部が妨害領域を通り過ぎないくらいの力が好ましい。外れを予防するために位置決めねじを使用するのが望ましい実施例もある。別の方法として、回転防止のためにスクリュー頭部にクランプを使用することが望ましい。
本発明は、小型を維持しながら、従来の骨固定プレートに関する課題を最小限に抑える骨固定プレートに関する。1つの実施例では、スクリューを締めるとプレートを骨に接続する。妨害地点でスクリュー頭部がプレートを妨げる場合、若干の抵抗が起こる。挿入力はこの抵抗力を簡単に克服できる。スクリューがさらに押し込まれると、滑りばめ領域にパチンと入り、自由に移動が可能になる。スクリューをプレートから外れさせる力は、できればスクリュー頭部が妨害セクションを越えて後方に通る程強くないほうが良い。微動によりスクリューが外れないように位置決めねじを含むのが好ましい。その他の実施例では、そのようなスクリューの移動規制が望ましい場合、回転防止のためにスクリュー頭部を固定する。
Claims (24)
- 少なくても一部プレートの厚みから側面に沿って横断面図に伸びる球面曲率の縦軸に沿って伸びる少なくても1つの細長い開口部があるプレートと、
妨害領域でプレートを妨害する頭部を有する少なくても1つの留め具とを含む、
骨材料にプレートを固定する装置であって、
該頭部が球面曲率と通じるため妨害領域と係合可能で、かつ、通過可能であり、
該細長い開口部が縦軸に沿って頭部の運動を可能にする大きさである、骨材料にプレートを固定する装置。 - 細長いすき間が留め具と関連してプレートの並進運動をする、請求項1記載の装置。
- 細長いすき間が約5〜24mm縦に伸びる、請求項1記載の装置。
- 細長いすき間が約6〜22mm縦に伸びる、請求項1記載の装置。
- 細長いすき間が約7〜20mm縦に伸びる、請求項1記載の装置。
- 妨害領域が少なくても1つの係合領域と少なくても1つの緩衝領域を含む、請求項1記載の装置。
- プレート交差の断面図を見た場合、球面曲率の最外部の接線を含む、請求項1記載の装置。
- 接線の交差角度が1〜5度である、請求項8記載の装置。
- 接線の交差角度が1〜3度である、請求項8記載の装置。
- 少なくても1つの緩衝領域が干渉領域の約40%以下から成る、請求項7記載の装置。
- 少なくても1つの緩衝領域が干渉領域の約30%以下から成る、請求項7記載の装置。
- 留め具頭部が、プレートの細長いすき間の短軸にほぼ対応する直径がある一部球外面、留め具頭部が外側に伸びるように留め具頭部に位置する少なくても1つのスリット、および、留め具頭部に形成される栓受に受け入れ可能な固定スクリューから成る、請求項2記載の装置。
- 1つ以上の細長いアパーチャが留め具が妨害領域から外れないように一体的に形成される妨害領域を含むよう構成され、かつ、適合される、プレートを含む、少なくても2つの骨組織を安定させる装置であって、
細長い開口部が、縦軸に沿って頭部の運動を可能にする大きさである、装置。 - 細長いすき間が、留め具と関連してプレートの並進運動を可能にするように構成されている、請求項15記載の装置。
- 妨害領域と係合可能で、かつ通過可能である頭部を有する留め具をさらに含む、請求項14記載の装置。
- 妨害領域が、少なくても1つの係合領域と少なくても1つの緩衝領域がある球面曲率に含まれる、請求項14記載の装置。
- 球面曲率に接線が交差する、請求項14記載の装置。
- 接線の交差角が、約1〜5度である、請求項19記載の装置。
- 開口部が、楔形スクリューが通るように構成され、かつ、適合される、請求項14記載の装置。
- 断面的に見た場合、球面曲率の少なくても1つの細長い開口部を含むプレートと、
球面曲率の妨害領域と係合可能で、かつ、通過可能な頭部を有する少なくても1つの留め具とから本質的になる、骨材料にプレートを固定する装置であって、
該留め具が妨害領域によって開口部を外れないようにし、
該細長い開口部が縦軸に沿って頭部の運動を可能にする大きさである、装置。 - 細長いすき間が留め具の並進運動を可能にする、請求項23記載の装置。
- 球面曲率に接線が交差する、請求項22記載の装置。
- 留め具頭部が、プレートの細長いすき間の短軸にほぼ対応する直径がある一部球外面、留め具頭部が外側に伸びるように留め具頭部に位置する少なくても1つのすき間、および、留め具頭部に形成される容器に受け入れ可能な固定スクリューから成る、請求項23記載の装置。
- 末端部から近接端部まで縦に伸び、縦軸に沿って間隔を開けた少なくても1つの第一開口部、1つの第二開口部、1つの第三開口部を含み、第二開口部は第一および第三開口部の間に位置するプレートを含む、骨材料にプレートを固定する装置であって、
第一開口部は協力的に第一留め具を受け、第一椎体にプレートを取り付けるために第一留め具頭部を係合するように構成されかつ採寸され、第二開口部は協力的に第二留め具を受け、第二椎体にプレートを取り付けるために第二留め具頭部を係合するように構成されかつ採寸され、 第三開口部は協力的に第三留め具を受け、第三椎体にプレートを取り付けるために第三留め具頭部を係合するように構成されかつ採寸され、
第一開口部は縦軸に沿ってプレートに対する第一留め具頭部の運動を可能にする大きさの細長い開口部であり、第三開口部は縦軸に沿ってプレートに対する第三留め具頭部の運動を可能にする大きさの細長い開口部であり、第二開口部は縦軸に沿ってプレートに対する第二留め具頭部の運動を実質的に防止する大きさである、装置。
