Abstract

図3Aないし図3Cには、カテーテルポート、すなわち一例としての装置の図1に示したポート22内に挿入された針に連結した外部変換器を介して集められたmmHgの圧力(縦座標)対秒の時間(横座標)とのプロット図が表わされている。装置の各々は、静脈系内に植え込まれた弁付き注入カテーテルを有するものとした。
Claims (14)
- 流体注入カテーテルの圧力応動弁に送り出されるボーラス(bolus)を監視する方法において、
約1分ないし約60分間の持続する時間の期間に亙ってボーラスを注入カテーテルを通して送り出すステップと、
ボーラスを送り出す間、測定された圧力対時間を観察するステップとを備える、ボーラスを監視する方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
時間の期間は、約1分ないし3分の範囲にある、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
ボーラスの量は、約0.05mLないし約1mLの範囲にある、方法。 - 請求項3に記載の方法において、
前記量は、約0.1mLないし約0.25mLの範囲にある、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
ボーラスを送り出す間、観察された圧力上昇後に観察された圧力低下に基づいてボーラスの送り出しが成功したと推測するステップを更に備える、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
ボーラスを送り出す間、観察された非直線状の圧力上昇に基づいて注入カテーテル内の漏洩を推測するステップを更に備える、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
ボーラスの送り出しの開始から約10秒以内に圧力上昇しないことの観察に基づいて、弁に近接して、注入カテーテルに漏洩があると推測するステップを更に備える、方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法において、
ボーラスを送り出す間、観察された圧力上昇後に圧力低下が観察されないことに基づいて、注入カテーテルが閉塞したと推測するステップを更に備える、方法。 - 流体注入カテーテルの圧力応動型弁に送り出されるボーラスを制御する方法において、
約1分ないし約60分間、持続する時間の期間に亙ってボーラスを注入カテーテルを通して送り出すステップと、
ボーラスを送り出す間、圧力対時間を監視するステップと、
圧力対時間が所定のパターンに適合しないならば、ボーラスの送り出しを停止するステップとを備える、方法。 - 請求項9に記載の方法において、
所定のパターンは、ほぼ直線状の圧力上昇対時間を含む、方法。 - 請求項9に記載の方法において、
所定のパターンは、ボーラス送り出しの開始から約50秒後、圧力上昇を含み、その後に、圧力低下を含む、方法。 - 請求項9に記載の方法において、
