Abstract
【解決手段】カテーテルは基部と末端部を有するチューブ状の本体で構成される。この末端部は可撓性部で構成される。この基部にはコネクタが設けられている。この可撓性の末端部は適当な導電金属で作られて螺旋状に巻かれた平らな帯状の電極で覆われる。この平らな帯状の電極は末端部の周囲に螺旋状に緊密に巻かれる。この緊密に巻かれた螺旋状の巻きはカテーテルにより生成されるRF損傷が線的に連続することを保証する。この螺旋状に巻かれた電極にはリードワイヤが接続される。

Description
1.ブラシ、スプレー、浸液、その他の実施可能な方法で薄い撓み被覆として適用することができ、被覆しない部分を明確に残すことができる。
2.良好な電気的絶縁特性を有する。
3.良好な熱伝導性を有する。
4.血管系において12時間の良好な接着特性を有する。
5.加水分解上の安定性及び12時間のカテーテル作業の生物学的適合性といった良好な生物学上の特性を有する。
Claims (20)
- 基部と末端部とを備えたカテーテル本体と、前記カテーテル本体の前記末端部に螺旋状に巻かれた平らな帯状の電極とを有するカテーテル。
- 外周を備えた筒状壁を有する末端部と、コネクタが設けられた基部とを有するチューブ状本体と、前記筒状壁の外周に螺旋状に巻かれた平らな帯状の電極と、前記コネクタから前記螺旋状に巻かれた電極へ延在する電極リードワイヤとを有するカテーテル。
- 前記螺旋状に巻かれた帯状の電極は、リボンの厚さが約0.002乃至0.003インチであり、リボンの幅が約0.025乃至0.030インチであって、前記カテーテルの末端部の周囲にセンチメ−トル当たり約7巻きの割合で巻かれている請求項2に記載のカテーテル。
- さらに、基部端と末端部端を有して前記チューブ状本体を通って延在する引っ張りワイヤを有し、前記末端部端は前記カテーテルの末端部に固着されており、前記カテーテルの基部と前記引っ張りワイヤに連結するハンドルを有し、前記ハンドルは前記引っ張りワイヤを前記カテーテル本体に相対的に動作させて前記カテーテルの末端部の曲率を制御する請求項2に記載のカテーテル。
- さらに、前記基部の中心孔と前記末端部の偏倚軸孔とを有し、前記引っ張りワイヤは前記中心孔と前記偏倚軸孔とを通過する請求項4に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記カテーテルは、予め形成された湾曲状の末端部を有する請求項2に記載のカテーテル。
- 複数の螺旋状に巻かれた前記電極を有し、各前記電極は、前記コネクタに接続される対応の電極リードワイヤを有する請求項2に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記螺旋状に巻かれた電極のうちの幾つかは、前記カテーテルの末端部の外周に一方向に巻かれ、その他のものは前記カテーテルの末端部の外周に反対方向に巻かれる請求項6に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記螺旋状に巻かれた電極は、その外面の一部に沿って被覆される請求項2に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記被覆はポリウレタン又はラテックスのグル−プのうちの1つである請求項9に記載のカテーテル。
- カテーテルであって、
(a)末端部と基部を有し、前記末端部は外面を有する可撓チューブ状部を具備するチューブ状本体と、
(b)前記末端部の外面に螺旋状に巻かれた平らな帯状の電極と、
(c)前記チューブ状本体の基部に取り付けられたコネクタと、
(d)前記電極に電気的に接続されて前記チューブ状本体を通って延在して前記コネクタに電気的に接続される電極リードワイヤと、
(e)前記チューブ状本体の基部に連結されるハンドルと、
(f)前記末端部に固定され、前記ハンドルに滑り可能に取り付けられる引っ張りワイヤと、
(g)前記引っ張りワイヤを前記チューブ状本体に相対的に長手方向へ動作させて前記末端部の曲率を調整する手段、
とを具備するカテーテル。 - 前記平らな帯状の電極は厚さが約0.002乃至0.003インチで、幅が約0.025乃至0.30インチであって、前記外面にセンチメ−トル当たり約7巻きの割合で巻かれる請求項11に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記螺旋状に巻かれた平らな帯状の電極は外面を有し、前記外面の一部を覆う被覆を有する請求項12に記載のカテーテル。
- 前記末端部は前記引っ張りワイヤの使用により凹凸面側で湾曲を形成することができ、前記被覆は前記カテーテルの凹面となる側に位置する請求項13に記載のカテーテル。
- 電極付きカテーテルを使用して心臓組織を溶発する方法であって、
(a)平らな帯状の電極が周囲に螺旋状に巻かれたカテーテルの末端部を血管内に導入する段階と、
(b)前記末端部を前記血管を通して心臓の内部へ進める段階と、
(c)溶発すべき心臓の領域に前記螺旋状に巻かれた平らな帯状の電極を接触させる段階と、
(d)前記電極に心臓組織を殺すために適当な時間に渡ってRFエネルギを供給する段階、
とを有する方法。 - 前記螺旋状に巻かれた平らな帯状の電極は、部分的に被覆で覆われている請求項15に記載の方法。
- さらに、心房振顫を診断してこれにRFエネルギで加療する段階を有する請求項15に記載の方法。
- さらに、心房不整脈を診断してこれにRFエネルギで加療する段階を有する請求項15に記載の方法。
- さらに、心室頻泊を診断してこれにRFエネルギで加療する段階を有する請求項15に記載の方法。
- 心臓内部における電気生理学的信号を記録する方法であって、
(a)平らな帯状の電極が周囲に螺旋状に巻かれたカテーテルの末端部を血管内へ導入する段階と、
(b)前記末端部を前記血管を通して心臓の内部へ進める段階と、
(c)溶発すべき心臓の領域に前記螺旋状に巻かれた平らな帯状の電極を接触させる段階と、
(d)前記電極を記録システムし接続して電気生理学的信号を発生させる段階、
とを有する方法。
