Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting terminal which prevents insertion error when the terminal is inserted into a connecting terminal receiving hole of a connecting terminal housing. <P>SOLUTION: The entrance of the connecting terminal receiving hole 4 for receiving the connecting terminal 3 with an electric wire 2 is formed on the rear face of the terminal housing 1. To an upper surface of the connecting terminal 3, for example, paint 5 is applied which shows that the connecting terminal 3 should be inserted by turning the connecting terminal 3 upward. Also to a part of a top surface of the terminal housing 1, paint 6 of the same color is applied. When the connecting terminal 3 is inserted, the terminal housing 1 is held with a left hand, the connecting terminal 3 is held with a right hand, and the connecting terminal 3 is inserted into the terminal receiving hole 4 by turning a position of the paint 5 applied to the connecting terminal 3 upward wherein the paint 6 of the terminal housing 1 serves as a reference mark. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT

Description

  The present invention relates to a connection terminal with a mark built in a connector housing.

  The connector housing has a function of fitting the mating connector housing and electrically connecting the connection terminals accommodated in the connector housing. In order to accommodate the connection terminals in the connector housing, the connection terminals to which the electric wires are connected are inserted one by one from the rear of the connector housing into a predetermined terminal accommodation hole.

  However, when the connection terminal is inserted into the terminal receiving hole, the connection terminal is not necessarily inserted with the connection terminal aligned on the upper side. In consideration of the efficiency of storing the connection terminals, some connection terminals may be inserted with the front side up and some connection terminals with the back side up.

  In such a case, according to an unfamiliar worker, there is a risk of making an insertion error such as pushing an object to be inserted upside down with the front side facing up. If it is forcibly inserted in this case, the terminal accommodating hole may be damaged or cannot be pulled out.

  If a connector housing in which this insertion error has occurred is used, the fitting resistance with the mating connector housing or the like becomes very large, and inconveniences often occur.

  An object of the present invention is to provide a marked connection terminal that solves the above-described problems and reduces insertion errors when the connection terminal is inserted into a terminal receiving hole of a housing.

  In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the technical feature of the connection terminal with a mark according to the present invention is that the connection terminal is inserted into the connector housing from the terminal receiving hole on the rear side of the connection terminal. The reference mark is added.

  According to the connection terminal with a mark according to the present invention, a part of each connection terminal is marked, and this mark is used as a reference for the insertion posture, thereby preventing an insertion error.

The present invention will be described in detail based on the embodiments shown in the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a connector housing, which has a function of fitting with a mating connector housing and electrically connecting connection terminals accommodated in each connector housing. On the rear surface of the connector housing 1, an inlet portion of a terminal accommodating hole 4 for accommodating the connection terminal 3 with the electric wire 2 is provided.

  The connection terminal 3 in this case is, for example, a flat-blade terminal, and, for example, a red paint 5 indicating that the connection terminal 3 should be inserted upward is applied to the upper surface thereof. The same color paint 6 is also applied to a part of the upper surface of the connector housing 1.

  When the back side is to be inserted upward, the paint 5 is applied to the back side of the connection terminal 3 as shown in FIG.

  When inserting the connection terminal 3, for example, the connector housing 1 is held with the left hand, the base of the connection terminal 3 is held with the right hand, and the position of the paint 5 applied to the connection terminal 3 in accordance with the paint 6 of the connector housing 1. The terminal receiving hole 4 may be inserted with the facing upward.

  The connection terminal 3 inserted into the connector housing 1 goes down while pushing up the locking lance provided in the connector housing 1. When the connection terminal 3 is inserted to a predetermined position, the locking lance is restored to lock the connection terminal 3. Then, it is prevented from coming off.

  Needless to say, it is desirable to apply the coating portion 5 to a portion that does not electrically contact the mating connection terminal.

  If the paint 5 applied to the connection terminals 3 and the paint 6 applied to the connector housing 1 are fluorescent paints, they can be distinguished even at night, and the work becomes easy.

Claims (4)

  A connection terminal with a mark, wherein a mark serving as a reference for the insertion posture is attached to a part of the connection terminal in a connection terminal inserted into a connector housing from a terminal receiving hole on the rear side.   The marked connection terminal according to claim 1, wherein the mark is colored with a paint.   The marked connection terminal according to claim 1, wherein the paint is a fluorescent paint.   The connecting terminal with a mark according to claim 1, wherein a paint having the same color as that of the mark is applied to a surface of the connector housing.
