Abstract
【解決手段】本発明による希土類添加ファイバコイルはクラッドによって包囲された希土類添加コアを含む希土類添加光ファイバからなる。外側クラッド径は100μm未満である。希土類添加光ファイバは10mから50mの長さを有しており、40mm未満の曲げ半径でコイルに巻回されている。

Claims (10)
- 100μm未満の外側クラッド径を有するクラッドによって包囲された希土類添加コアを含む希土類添加光ファイバを含む希土類添加ファイバコイルであって、
前記希土類添加光ファイバは10mから50mの長さを有し且つ40mm未満の曲げ半径でコイルに巻回されていることを特徴とする希土類添加ファイバコイル。 - 前記クラッド径は72μmから90μmの範囲内にあることを特徴とする請求項1記載の希土類添加ファイバコイル。
- 前記希土類添加光ファイバはErを添加された光ファイバであることを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の希土類添加ファイバコイル。
- 前記曲げ半径は8mmから35mmの間にあることを特徴とする請求項1乃至3のうちの1に記載の希土類添加ファイバコイル。
- 前記曲げ半径は10mmから15mmの間にあることを特徴とする請求項4記載の希土類添加ファイバコイル。
- 一定長の希土類添加増幅ファイバを含む光増幅器であって、前記増幅ファイバは100μm未満の外側クラッド径を有するクラッドによって包囲された希土類添加コアを有し、前記希土類添加光ファイバは10mから50mの長さを有し且つ40mm未満の曲げ半径を有することを特徴とする光増幅器。
- 前記希土類添加光ファイバはEr添加光ファイバであることを特徴とする請求項6記載の光増幅器。
- 前記曲げ半径は8mmから20mmの間にあることを特徴とする請求項6又7記載の光増幅器若しくは請求項1乃至5のうちの1に記載の希土類添加ファイバコイル。
- 前記クラッド径は70μmから95μmの間にあることを特徴とする請求項7乃至8のうちの1に記載の光増幅器。
- 前記外側クラッド径は75μmから85μmの間にあることを特徴とする請求項9記載の光増幅器。
