Abstract
Description
(a)ポリマーフィルムの第1のシートと、
(b)ポリマーフィルムの第1のシートの上に重ね合わされたポリマーフィルムの第2のシートであって、ポリマーフィルムの第1および第2のシートが、周縁シール部(a sealed perimeter)を画定するように、互いに直接、または第3の介在ポリマーフィルムにより間接的にシールされ、もって封止パウチを形成する、ポリマーフィルムの第2のシートと、
(c)封止パウチの周縁部(the perimeter)内側にある少なくとも1つの易壊シールであって、封止パウチを分離室(separated compartments)に分割している易壊シールと、
(d)分離室の1つに閉じ込められた液体飲料と、
(e)第2の分離室に閉じ込められた他の成分と、
(f)装具(fitment)と
を含むことを特徴とする可撓性複室飲料パウチを提供する。
(a)ポリマーフィルムの第1のシートと、
(b)ポリマーフィルムの第1のシートの上に重ね合わされたポリマーフィルムの第2のシートであって、ポリマーフィルムの第1および第2のシートが、周縁シール部を画定するように、互いに直接、または第3の介在ポリマーフィルムにより間接的にシールされ、もって封止パウチを形成する、ポリマーフィルムの第2のシートと、
(c)封止パウチの周縁部内側にある少なくとも1つの易壊シールであって、封止パウチを分離室に分ける易壊シールと、
(d)分離室の少なくとも1つに閉じ込められた流体とを含み、
封止パウチの、シールされた周縁部のシール強度が、分離室の少なくとも1つに閉じ込められた流体に対する手による圧搾に耐えるのに十分なものであり、
易壊シールのシール強度が、分離室の少なくとも1つに閉じ込められた流体に対する手による圧搾に耐えるのに不十分であり、十分に持続した手による圧搾の後に、流体が、少なくとも1つの他の分離室の中身と混合されることを特徴とする可撓性複室パウチを提供する。
ポリマーフィルムの少なくとも1つの内側表面が、(a)80〜93重量パーセントのエチレン/酸イオノマーと、(b)20〜7重量パーセントのプロピレン/α−オレフィンコポリマーとのブレンドを含み、
エチレン/酸イオノマーの少なくとも50重量パーセントがエチレンコモノマーから誘導され、酸の中和度が5〜45パーセントであり、α−オレフィンコモノマーが、コポリマーの1〜12重量パーセントを占めるのが好ましい。
前記易壊ヒートシールにおける、前記ポリマーフィルムの少なくとも1つの内側表面が、(a)主成分としての酸変性エチレン酢酸ビニル(acid modified ethylene vinyl acetate、EVA)コポリマーまたは酸変性エチレンメチルアクリレート(acid modified ethylene methyl acrylate、EMA)コポリマーと、(b)副成分としての部分中和エチレン酸イオノマー(a partially neutralized ethylene acid ionomer)とのブレンドであるのが好ましい。
前記易壊ヒートシールにおける、前記ポリマーフィルムの少なくとも1つの内側表面が、(a)主成分としての部分中和エチレン酸イオノマーまたはエチレン酸コポリマーと、(b)副成分としてのポリブテン−1ホモポリマーまたはコポリマーとのブレンドであるのが好ましい。
前記易壊ヒートシールで、前記ポリマーフィルムの少なくとも1つの内側表面が、(a)主成分としてのメタロセンポリエチレンと、(b)副成分としてのポリプロピレンまたはポリブテン−1ホモポリマーまたはコポリマーとのブレンドであるのが好ましい。
以下の実施例において、5層の共押出しブローンフィルムを5層ブローンフィルムラインに生成して、メルトインデックスが0.3、密度が0.918g/ccのLDPEの外側層、無水変性ポリエチレン(バイネル(Bynel)(登録商標)4104)の近接接着層、エチレンビニルアルコール(エバール(Eval)F101A)のバリア層、無水変性ポリエチレン(バイネル(Bynel)(登録商標)41E687)の第2の接着層、およびメルトフローレートが7および融点が135℃の10重量パーセントのランダムポリプロピレンコポリマーと、亜鉛により中和された15%の酸基を備えた10重量パーセントのメタクリル酸と10重量パーセントのイソブチルアクリレートを含有する90重量パーセントのエチレンイオノマーターポリマーのメルトブレンドを含有する内側シーラント層を作成した。LDPEを、62rpmで操作される63.5mmの単軸押出し機にて219℃で溶融した。EVOHを、27rpmで操作される50.8mmの単軸押出し機にて211℃で溶融した。バイネル(Bynel)(登録商標)4104を、34rpmで操作される50.8mmの単軸押出し機にて215℃で溶融した。バイネル(Bynel)(登録商標)41E687を、12rpmで操作される50.8mmの単軸押出し機にて196℃で溶融した。イオノマーブレンドを、13rpmで操作される63.5mmの単軸押出し機にて223℃で溶融した。ブローンフィルムをPE層上でコロナ処理し、48ゲージ配向ポリエステル(マイラール(Mylar)(登録商標)LBT)にラミネートした。PE層は71ミクロンであり、接着層はそれぞれ8ミクロンであり、バリア層は13ミクロンであり、内側シーラント層は28ミクロンであった。フィルムを、幅3mmのヒートシールバーで、両バーを275キロパスカルの圧力で加熱し、実施例に記載した温度および休止時間で自身にヒートシールした。前述したように、フィルムを12インチ/分で引っ張ることによりインストロンで試験した。これらの実施例から分かるように、ヒートシール強度のレベルは、シールを作成するのに適切な温度および時間、そして約5000gm/インチ以下の破砕性、8000gm/インチ以上のロックアップシールを与えるのに必要なシール強度を与えることによって容易に制御することができる。得られたデータを以下の表1に示す。
Claims (30)
- (a)ポリマーフィルムの第1のシートと、
(b)ポリマーフィルムの前記第1のシートの上に重ね合わされたポリマーフィルムの第2のシートであって、ポリマーフィルムの前記第1および第2のシートが、周縁シール部(a sealed perimeter)を画定するように、互いに直接、または第3の介在ポリマーフィルムにより間接的にシールされ、もって封止パウチを形成する、ポリマーフィルムの第2のシートと、
(c)前記封止パウチの前記周縁部(the perimeter)内側にある少なくとも1つの易壊シールであって、前記封止パウチを分離室(separated compartments)に分割している易壊シールと、
(d)前記分離室の1つに閉じ込められた液体飲料と、
(e)第2の分離室に閉じ込められた他の成分と、
(f)装具(fitment)と
を含むことを特徴とする可撓性複室飲料パウチ。 - 前記第2の分離室に閉じ込められた前記他の成分が、液体香味料濃縮液(liquid flavoring concentrate)であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の可撓性複室飲料パウチ。
- 前記易壊シールが、持続した手による圧搾により、前記液体飲料を閉じ込めている前記分離室内の圧力が12psigまで増大する際に層剥離する(delaminate)ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の可撓性複室飲料パウチ。
- 前記易壊シールが、持続した手による圧搾により、前記液体飲料を閉じ込めている前記分離室内の圧力が0.5psigから2.0psigに増大する際に層剥離することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の可撓性複室飲料パウチ。
- 前記易壊シールのシール強度が1インチ当たり130グラムから1インチ当たり5,000グラムであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の可撓性複室飲料パウチ。
- 前記易壊シールのシール強度が1インチ当たり400グラムから1インチ当たり2,500グラムであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の可撓性複室飲料パウチ。
- 前記易壊シールのシール強度が1インチ当たり1,000グラムから1インチ当たり2,000グラムであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の可撓性複室飲料パウチ。
- 前記易壊シールが、持続した手による圧搾により、前記液体飲料を閉じ込めている前記分離室内の圧力が0.5psigから5.0psigに増大する際に、1インチ当たり400グラムから1インチ当たり6,000グラムのシール破断力を受けることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の可撓性複室飲料パウチ。
- 前記易壊シールが少なくとも1つの力集中手段(force concentrating means)を備え、
該力集中手段が、前記液体飲料を閉じ込めている前記分離室内の圧力が0.5psigから10psigに増大する際に、1インチ当たり1,500グラムから1インチ当たり10,000グラムまでのシール破断力を受けることにより、前記易壊シールのシール強度を選択的に超えるためのものであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の可撓性複室飲料パウチ。 - 前記易壊シールが、ポリマーフィルムの前記第1のシートをポリマーフィルムの前記第2のシートにヒートシールすることにより作成され、
前記ポリマーフィルムの少なくとも1つの内側表面が、(a)80〜93重量パーセントのエチレン/酸イオノマーと、(b)20〜7重量パーセントのプロピレン/α−オレフィンコポリマーとのブレンドを含み、
前記エチレン/酸イオノマーの少なくとも50重量パーセントがエチレンコモノマーから誘導され、酸の中和度が5〜45パーセントであり、前記α−オレフィンコモノマーが、前記コポリマーの1〜12重量パーセントを占めることを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の可撓性複室飲料パウチ。 - 前記易壊シールが、ポリマーフィルムの前記第1のシートをポリマーフィルムの前記第2のシートにヒートシールすることにより作成され、
前記易壊ヒートシール部における、前記ポリマーフィルムの少なくとも1つの内側表面が、(a)主成分としての酸変性エチレン酢酸ビニル(acid modified ethylene vinyl acetate、EVA)コポリマーまたは酸変性エチレンメチルアクリレート(acid modified ethylene methyl acrylate、EMA)コポリマーと、(b)副成分としての部分中和エチレン酸イオノマー(a partially neutralized ethylene acid ionomer)とを含むブレンドであることを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の可撓性複室飲料パウチ。 - 前記易壊シールが、ポリマーフィルムの前記第1のシートをポリマーフィルムの前記第2のシートにヒートシールすることにより作成され、
前記ポリマーフィルムの少なくとも1つの内側表面が、(a)主成分としての部分中和エチレン酸イオノマーと、(b)副成分としてのポリブテン−1ホモポリマーまたはコポリマーとのブレンドを含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の可撓性複室飲料パウチ。 - 前記易壊シールが、ポリマーフィルムの前記第1のシートをポリマーフィルムの前記第2のシートにヒートシールすることにより作成され、
前記ポリマーフィルムの少なくとも1つの内側表面が、(a)主成分としてのメタロセンポリエチレンと、(b)副成分としてのポリプロピレンまたはポリブテン−1ホモポリマーまたはコポリマーとのブレンドを含むことを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の可撓性複室飲料パウチ。 - 封止パウチを形成する前記周縁部が、図面の図9に示す通りであることを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の可撓性複室飲料パウチ。
- 封止パウチを形成する前記周縁部が、図面の図10に示す通りであることを特徴とする請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の可撓性複室飲料パウチ。
- (a)ポリマーフィルムの第1のシートと、
(b)ポリマーフィルムの前記第1のシートの上に重ね合わされたポリマーフィルムの第2のシートであって、ポリマーフィルムの前記第1および第2のシートが、周縁シール部を画定するように、互いに直接、または第3の介在ポリマーフィルムにより間接的にシールされ、もって封止パウチを形成する、ポリマーフィルムの第2のシートと、
(c)前記封止パウチの前記周縁部内側にある少なくとも1つの易壊シールであって、前記封止パウチを分離室に分ける易壊シールと、
(d)前記分離室の少なくとも1つに閉じ込められた流体とを含み、
前記封止パウチの、シールされた前記周縁部のシール強度が、前記分離室の少なくとも1つに閉じ込められた前記流体に対する手による圧搾に耐えるのに十分なものであり、
前記易壊シールの前記シール強度が、前記分離室の少なくとも1つに閉じ込められた前記流体に対する手による圧搾に耐えるのに不十分であり、十分に持続した手による圧搾の後に、前記流体が、少なくとも1つの他の分離室の中身と混合されることを特徴とする可撓性複室パウチ。 - 前記易壊シールが、持続した手による圧搾により、前記流体を閉じ込めている前記分離室内の圧力が10psigまで増大する際に、層剥離することを特徴とする請求項16に記載の可撓性複室パウチ。
- 前記易壊シールが、持続した手による圧搾により、前記流体を閉じ込めている前記分離室内の圧力が0.5psigから2.0psigまで増大する際に、層剥離することを特徴とする請求項16に記載の可撓性複室パウチ。
- 前記易壊シールのシール強度が1インチ当たり130グラムから1インチ当たり5,000グラムであることを特徴とする請求項16に記載の可撓性複室パウチ。
- 前記易壊シールのシール強度が1インチ当たり1,000グラムから1インチ当たり2,000グラムであることを特徴とする請求項16に記載の可撓性複室パウチ。
- 前記易壊シールが、持続した手による圧搾により、前記液体飲料を閉じ込めている前記分離室内の圧力が0.5psig〜5psigまで増大する際に、1インチ当たり400グラムから1インチ当たり6,000グラムのシール破断力を受けることを特徴とする請求項16に記載の可撓性複室パウチ。
- 前記易壊シールが少なくとも1つの力集中手段を備え、

前記易壊ヒートシール部における、前記ポリマーフィルムの少なくとも1つの内側表面が、(a)主成分としての酸変性エチレン酢酸ビニル(EVA)コポリマーまたは酸変性エチレンメチルアクリレート(EMA)コポリマーと、(b)副成分としての部分中和エチレン酸イオノマーとを含むブレンドであることを特徴とする請求項16〜22のいずれか一項に記載の可撓性複室パウチ。 - 前記パウチ周縁部の内側に少なくとも1つの易壊シールを備えたヒートシールされたポリマーフィルムを含み、パウチが分離室に分割されている可撓性複室パウチにおいて、前記分離室の少なくとも1つの内部の圧力が0.5psigから5psigに増大する際に、前記易壊シールが、1インチ当たり400グラムから1インチ当たり6,000グラムまでのシール破断力を受けることを特徴とする改良された可撓性複室パウチ。
- 前記パウチ周縁部の内側に少なくとも1つの易壊シールを備えたヒートシールされたポリマーフィルムを含み、前記易壊シールがパウチを分離室に分割している可撓性複室パウチにおいて、
前記易壊シールが、さらに少なくとも1つの力集中手段を備え、
該力集中手段が、前記分離室の少なくとも1つの内部の圧力が0.5psigから10psigに増大する際に、1インチ当たり1,500グラムから1インチ当たり10,000グラムまでのシール破断力を受けることにより、前記易壊シールのシール強度を選択的に超えるためのものであることを特徴とする改良された可撓性複室パウチ。 - 前記易壊シールが、ポリマーフィルムの前記第1のシートをポリマーフィルムの前記第2のシートにヒートシールすることにより作成され、

- 前記易壊シールが、ポリマーフィルムの前記第1のシートをポリマーフィルムの前記第2のシートにヒートシールすることにより作成され、前記易壊ヒートシール部における、前記ポリマーフィルムの少なくとも1つの内側表面が、(a)主成分としての部分中和エチレン酸イオノマーと、(b)副成分としてのポリブテン−1ホモポリマーまたはコポリマーとを含むブレンドであることを特徴とする請求項25または26に記載の可撓性複室飲料パウチ。
- 前記易壊シールが、ポリマーフィルムの前記第1のシートをポリマーフィルムの前記第2のシートにヒートシールすることにより作成され、前記易壊ヒートシール部における、前記ポリマーフィルムの少なくとも1つの内側表面が、(a)主成分としてのメタロセンポリエチレンと、(b)副成分としてのポリプロピレンまたはポリブテン−1ホモポリマーまたはコポリマーとを含むブレンドであることを特徴とする請求項25または26に記載の可撓性複室飲料パウチ。
