Abstract
Description
本発明は判別器を含む警報受信機を具え、符号化(された)信号をデータ・ネットワークから受信する。この符号化信号は、ネットワークに結合された情報源から出来事(事件、イベント)を報告する。ネットワークでは、判別器が符号化信号(これには地理的位置を表すコードを含む)と特定地域に関連するコード(code:符号)とを比較し、ユーザに警報すべきかどうか判断する。警報装置は、符号化信号と特定地域関連のコードとを比較した結果に応答する。
Claims (20)
- ネットワークに結合された情報源からのイベントを報告するために、符号化された信号をネットワークから受信する判別器であって、前記符号化された信号(これには地理的位置を表すコードを含む)と特定地域に関連するコードとを比較してユーザに警報すべきかどうか判定する、前記判別器と、
前記符号化信号と前記特定地域に関連するコードとを比較した結果に応答する警報装置と、から成る、警報受信機。 - 前記警報装置が可聴アラームを具える、請求項1記載の警報受信機。
- 前記警報装置が視覚アラームを具える、請求項1記載の警報受信機。
- 前記特定地域に関連するコードが、ユーザの地理的位置を表すコードを含む、請求項1記載の警報受信機。
- 前記地理的位置を表す前記コードが、FIPS(Federal Information Processing System:連邦情報処理システム)コードを含む、請求項4記載の警報受信機。
- 前記符号化された信号が、SAME(Specific Area Message Encoding:特定地域メッセージ符号化)を含む、請求項1記載の警報受信機。
- 比較規準が満たされたとき、前記符号化された信号からテキスト・メッセージを表示するディスプレイを更に具える、請求項1記載の警報受信機。
- イベントが地理的コードに関連しており、特定地域に関連するコードが前記受信機の特徴を表し、1つ以上のイベント・コードが特定地域に関連する1つ以上のコードと一致するとき警報装置が応答するようにする、請求項1記載の警報受信機。
- 受信機の特徴が、該受信機の位置を表すコードを含む、請求項8記載の受信機。
- 受信機の特徴が、地理的位置を表す複数のコードを含む、請求項8記載の警報受信機。
- ケーブル・ネットワークを介してヘッド・エンド・ステーションに結合される、請求項1記載の警報受信機。
- 符号化された信号に応答するため常にオン状態にある、請求項1記載の警報受信機。
- 前記符号化された信号が、受信したテレビジョン信号の垂直帰線消去期間に挿入されるキャラクタを含む、請求項1記載の警報受信機。
- 前記符号化された信号が、データ・ストリームに挿入されたデータ・パケット内に含まれ、該データ・パケットが警報メッセージとして識別できる、請求項1記載の警報受信機。
- 関連するコード名を有するユーザの場所に配置される受信機と、
複数の符号化レポートを供給するネットワークに結合される前記受信機と、
前記符号化レポートを解読し、ユーザの位置に関連する前記コード名に対応するレポートを決定する判別器と、
ユーザの場所に配置され、ユーザの場所に関連するコード名に対応するレポートをユーザに報知する警報装置と、から成る、警報システム。 - 警報装置が可聴アラームと視覚アラームのうち少なくとも1つを具える、請求項15記載の警報システム。
- 前記符号化レポートが地理的位置を表すコードを含む請求項15記載の警報システム。
- 前記コードがFIPSコードを含む、請求項17記載の警報システム。
- 前記符号化レポートがSAME(特定地域メッセージ符号化)を含む、請求項15記載の警報システム。
- 関連するコード名を有するユーザの場所に影響を及ぼす非常事態に関する警報メッセージを受信する方法であって、
データ・フォーマットに一致する警報メッセージを受信するステップと、
警報メッセージを、対応するコード名を有するレポートに解読するステップと、
ユーザの場所に関連するコード名とそれに対応するレポートのコード名が一致すると警報を発生するステップと、から成る、前記方法。
