大越 誠、外2名、"自然調和を指向した自然融合物質・材料技術に関する研究"、材料のエコマテリアル化のための評価・設計技術の確立に関する研究(第1期)成果報告書、1997年、p317−326
(1)有機酸変性リグニン(酢酸リグニン)の抽出
含水率9.5%のシラカンバチップ9kg及び0.3%の硫酸を含む90%酢酸水溶液66.4kgを、冷却搭を備えた加熱反応装置に仕込み、還流温度で4時間蒸解を行った。添加した硫酸を水酸化ナトリウムで中和し、室温まで冷却した。取り出した液を減圧濃縮して蒸留水で過希釈し、得られた沈殿物を凍結乾燥して褐色の粉末(酢酸リグニン)を得た。シラカンバチップ乾燥重量に対する酢酸リグニンの収率は24.5%であった。
(2)防腐剤液の調製
(1)で得られた酢酸リグニンを固形分濃度が40%となるようにしてシクロヘキサノンに溶解し、これを防腐剤液として用いた。
(3)防腐試験(耐候操作)
厚さ5mm×幅2cm×長さ4cmのスギ片材のブロック(2cm×4cmの面が柾目面、5mm×2cmの面が木口面)を試験木片とした。一回の試験に9個の試験木片を用いた。試験木片に(2)で得られた防腐剤液を刷毛で塗布量が40〜55g/m2になるようにできるだけ均一に塗布し、室温で1週間乾燥させた。続いて試験木片の10倍の体積の25℃の脱イオン水に5時間浸漬し、40℃で19時間乾燥させる操作を10回繰り返した。
(4)防腐試験(抗菌操作)
内容積900mlの円筒形のガラス製の培養瓶に海砂約350gを入れ、pH5.5〜6.0に調節した培養液(JIS K 8824に規定されたグルコース4%、ペプトン0.3%、麦芽抽出物1.5%をそれぞれ含有する培養液)100mlを加えた後、オートクレーブを用いて120℃で30分間殺菌した。殺菌後海砂の面を水平にし、培養液の面が海砂の面と同じになるようにし、これを培養基とした。培養基表面のほぼ中央にオオウズラタケ(Fomitopsis palustris )及びカワラタケ( Trametes versicolor )を予め繁殖させておいたぶな小片(約2mm角、厚さ約1mm)を無菌的に入れ、温度26±2℃、相対湿度70%以上の場所で12日間培養を行った。この上に殺菌した厚さ約1mmの耐熱性プラスチックの網を置き、更にその上に1培養瓶ごとに3個ずつの試験木片を四ふっ化エチレン樹脂製の枠にはめたものを、5mm×4cmの面が下になるように載せ、温度26±2℃、相対湿度70%以上の試験場所に12週間置いた。
(5)防腐性能の評価
抗菌操作終了後の試験木片を培養瓶から取り出し、表面の菌糸その他の付着物を十分に取り除いて24時間風乾した後、60℃で48時間乾燥させて乾燥質量を測定した。予め測定しておいた抗菌操作前の試験木片の質量より質量減少率を求め、次の基準により防腐性能の評価を行った。
防腐性能△:質量減少率3%以上30%未満(オオウズラタケ)
質量減少率3%以上15%未満(カワラタケ)
防腐性能×:質量減少率30%以上(オオウズラタケ)
質量減少率15%以上(カワラタケ)。
防腐剤液として酢酸リグニンを固形分濃度12%になるようにして29%アンモニア水に懸濁させたものを用い、塗布量を30〜40g/m2にした以外は実施例1と同様に操作した。
防腐剤液として酢酸リグニンを固形分濃度が25%となるようにしてシクロヘキサノンに溶解し、これにN,N'-ジサリシラル‐エチレンジアミン鉄(II)を酢酸リグニンに対して0.3%添加したものを用いた以外は実施例1と同様に操作した。
防腐剤液として酢酸リグニン100部、スミジュールN−3400(住友バイエルウレタン社製)60部及びジラウリン酸ジブチルすず(IV)0.3部を固形分濃度が35%となるようにしてシクロヘキサノンに溶解したものを用いた以外は実施例1と同様に操作した。
防腐剤液として酢酸リグニン100部、ポリエチレングリコールジグリシジルエーテル40部及び臭化テトラブチルアンモニウム0.7部を固形分濃度が30%となるようにしてシクロヘキサノンに溶解したものを用い、試験木片に塗布した後の乾燥条件を110℃3時間とした以外は実施例1と同様に行操作し。
フラスコ中にキシレン50部及び酢酸3−メトキシブチル40部を仕込み、窒素ガスを通気しつつ120℃まで撹拌を行いながら昇温した。次いで温度を120℃に保ちながら
スチレン 20部
i−ブチルメタクリレート 35部
n−ブチルアクリレート 25部
グリシジルメタクリレート 20部
2,2´−アゾビスイソブチロニトリル 5部
の混合物を4時間かけて滴下した。その後120℃で2時間熟成したのち、140℃に昇温してから大豆油脂肪酸33.3部及び触媒としてN,N´−ジメチルアミノエタノール0.4部を加え、脂肪酸の付加反応を行った。樹脂酸価をKOH滴定法で追跡し、樹脂酸価が1.0以下になった時点を終点とした。反応終了後、シクロヘキサノン45部で希釈して不揮発分50%のほぼ褐色透明の粘稠な樹脂溶液を得た。
防腐剤液による試験木片の処理を行わない以外は実施例1と同様に操作した。
Claims (11)
- リグニン又はその変性物を有効成分として含有することを特徴とする防腐剤。
- リグニン又はその変性物が、植物体を0.05〜1重量%の無機酸及び60〜99.95重量%の炭素数2〜4の有機酸を含む溶液を用いて蒸解して得られる有機酸変性リグニンである請求項1に記載の防腐剤。
- リグニン又はその変性物を有機溶剤に溶解又は分散させてなる請求項1又は2に記載の防腐剤。
- リグニン又はその変性物をアルカリ性水溶液に溶解又は分散させてなる請求項1又は2に記載の防腐剤。
- 酸化重合触媒及び/又は酵素をさらに含有する請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の防腐剤。
- リグニン又はその変性物中のアルコール性水酸基及び/又はフェノール性水酸基と反応し得る官能基を有する架橋剤をさらに含有する請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の防腐剤。
- 架橋剤がイソシアネート基含有化合物である請求項6記載の防腐剤。
- 架橋剤がエポキシ基含有化合物である請求項6記載の防腐剤。
- 基材表面に請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の防腐剤を塗布又は含浸することを特徴とする防腐処理方法。
- 基材が木材である請求項9記載の方法。
- 請求項9又は10に記載の方法によって得られる防腐処理物品。
