Abstract
【解決手段】複数気筒エンジンEからの排気ガスGを導出する排気通路37に前記排気ガスGを浄化する触媒コンバータ43が設けられ、前記触媒コンバータ43の上流端の相異なる領域S1,S2に複数の排気通路上流部37a,37aのそれぞれが連通し、前記触媒コンバータ43の下流端に前記排気通路上流部37a,37aと同数以下の数の排気通路下流部37b,37bが連通しており、前記触媒コンバータ43は、排気ガスGの流れ方向に沿って延び、前記複数の排気通路上流部37aからの排気ガスGを互いに混じることなく通過させる隔壁43cを有している。

Claims (4)
- 複数気筒エンジンからの排気ガスを導出する排気通路に前記排気ガスを浄化する触媒コンバータが設けられ、
前記触媒コンバータの上流端の相異なる領域に複数の排気通路上流部のそれぞれが連通し、前記触媒コンバータの下流端に前記排気通路上流部と同数以下の数の排気通路下流部が連通しており、
前記触媒コンバータは、排気ガスの流れ方向に沿って延び、前記複数の排気通路上流部からの排気ガスを互いに混じることなく通過させる隔壁を有している自動二輪車の排気装置。 - 請求項1において、
前記触媒コンバータの上流側または下流側の少なくとも一方に、排気通路を形成する排気管体の内部に設けられて排気ガスの流れ方向に沿って延び、排気通路を複数に区画する仕切り板を設けた自動二輪車の排気装置。 - 請求項1または2において、前記触媒コンバータの外周面と排気通路の内壁面との間に、前記複数の排気通路上流部同士または複数の排気通路下流部同士が前記触媒コンバータの外側で連通するのを阻止するシール部材が設けられている自動二輪車の排気装置。
- 請求項2において、
4気筒エンジンに接続された4本の排気導出管と、
前記各2本の排気導出管の下流端部に1つずつ連結された2つの中間排気管と、
前記2つの中間排気管の下流端部に連結された単一の集合排気管と、を備え、
前記集合排気管内に、前記触媒コンバータと、上下流側の仕切り板の少なくとも一方とが配置されている自動二輪車の排気装置。
