Abstract
【解決手段】 外周にスプロケット1を有するハウジング5内に回転自在に設けられたベーン部材7を機関運転状態に応じて正逆回転させることにより、スプロケット1とカムシャフト2との相対回転角度を変換して吸気弁の開閉タイミングを進角、遅角側に制御する。最大巾W1の第1ベーン22の両側に位置する第2ベーン23,24の円周方向の巾W2,W2を、第3ベーン25,26の巾W3,W3よりも小さく設定すると共に、前記第3ベーンの巾を、第1ベーンの巾よりも小さく設定した。これにより、5枚のベーンの重量配分を均一化できて、ベーン部材の回転アンバランスを解消する

Claims (3)
- クランクシャフトによって回転駆動する回転部材と、
前記回転部材と相対回転自在に設けられ、外周に機関弁を作動させる駆動カムを有するカムシャフトと、
前記回転部材とカムシャフトのいずれか一方に一体的に設けられれた回転自在なハウジングと、
前記ハウジング内に回転自在に配置されて、外周側に径方向に延設された5枚のベーンを有するベーン部材と、
前記ハウジング内に設けられ、内部に供給された油圧によって前記ベーン部材を回転させる遅角油室及び進角油室と、
前記遅角油室と進角油室に連通し、該各油室に油圧を選択的に給排する油圧回路と、
前記ベーン部材の前記一つのベーンの内部に進退自在に設けられて、ハウジングに形成されたロック穴に係脱するロックピストンとを備え、
前記ロックピストンが設けられた前記第1ベーンの両側に位置する2つの第2ベーンの外周面の面積を、前記第1ベーン以外の他の2つの第3ベーンの外周面の面積よりも小さく設定したことを特徴とする内燃機関のバルブタイミング制御装置。 - 前記各第3ベーンの外周面の面積を、前記第1ベーンの外周面の面積よりも小さく設定すると共に、前記各第2ベーンの外周面の面積よりも大きく設定したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内燃機関のバルブタイミング制御装置。
- 前記第1ベーンの外周面の面積を、前記両第3ベーンの外周面の面積を加算した大きさよりも小さく設定したことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の内燃機関のバルブタイミング制御装置。
