ネオニコチノイド系殺虫剤のうち、3−(2−クロロ−1,3−チアゾール−5−イルメチル)−5−メチル−1,3,5−オキサジアジナン−4−イリデン(ニトロ)アミン(以下、「化合物1」と称す)は、特許文献1で公知の化合物であるが、イエシロアリやヒラタキクイムシに対する効果については何ら開示されていなかった。
また、N−置換トリアゾール系化合物は農業用殺菌剤として広く使用されているが、木材防腐用途に使用されている化合物はシプロコナゾール、テブコナゾール、アザコナゾール等に限定されており(非特許文献1)、2−(2,4−ジクロロフェニル)−1−(1H―1,2,4−トリアゾール−1−イル)−2−ヘキサノール(以下、「化合物2」と称す)は、木材保存分野には使用されていなかった。
