Abstract
Description
Claims (17)
- 電子回路を内蔵し、植込み型医療用リードのリードコネクタアセンブリを受け入れ該リードコネクタアセンブリとの間の接続をもたらすヘッダボアを有し、以下を含む、植込み型医療デバイス用のコネクタヘッダ:
ヘッダボア入口及び前記ヘッダボア入口に軸方向で位置合わせされたキャビティを有するコネクタヘッダ基部であって、前記ヘッダボア入口には、直列に配置されてリード絶縁要素によって隔てられた複数のリードコネクタ要素を含む前記リードコネクタアセンブリが接続のために挿入されるコネクタヘッダ基部;
リードコネクタ要素を受け取って前記リードコネクタ要素と電気的に接触するようにサイズ設定されたコネクタ要素ボアをそれぞれ有する、複数の第1導電性ヘッダコネクタ要素;
リード絶縁要素を受け取るようにサイズ設定されたシールボアをそれぞれ有する可撓性の複数の第2電気絶縁流体シール;
前記複数の第1ヘッダコネクタ要素と前記複数の第2電気絶縁流体シールとがそれぞれ隣接する間に配置される連結手段であって、前記流体シールボアに軸方向で位置合わせされて積層体ボア及び積層体軸を画定する状態で、前記連結手段が、前記複数の第1ヘッダコネクタ要素と前記複数の第2流体シールとを連結させ、前記ヘッダコネクタ要素と前記流体シールとが交互に並んだ積層体を形成して、前記ヘッダコネクタ要素を互いに電気的に絶縁する連結手段;及び
前記ヘッダコネクタ要素を前記リードコネクタ要素と電気的に接触させ、更に前記流体シールを前記リード絶縁要素と接触させて、前記積層体ボアが前記ヘッダボア入口に軸方向で位置合わせされて前記リードコネクタアセンブリを受け取るヘッダボアを画定する状態で、前記積層体を前記コネクタヘッダ基部の陥凹部内に維持する手段。 - 前記連結手段が、前記各ヘッダコネクタ要素から前記積層体軸に平行に延びて隣接した流体シールへと達する、前記ヘッダコネクタ要素と前記流体シールとを機械的に連結させる結合手段を更に含む、請求項1に記載のコネクタヘッダ。
- 止めねじをコネクタブロックボアに径方向で位置合わせした状態で支持する止めねじコネクタ要素を更に含んでおり、更に、前記止めねじコネクタ要素と前記複数の第2流体シールの少なくとも1つとの間に配置された、前記コネクタブロックボアが前記流体シールボア及び前記コネクタ要素ボアに軸方向で位置合わせされて積層体ボア及び積層体軸を画定する状態で、前記止めねじコネクタ要素を連結させて積層体を形成する、もう1つの連結手段を含む、請求項1に記載のコネクタヘッダ。
- 前記もう1つの連結手段は、前記止めねじコネクタ要素から前記積層体軸に平行に延びて隣接した流体シールへと達する、前記止めねじコネクタ要素を前記ヘッダコネクタ要素及び前記流体シールに連結させる結合手段を更に含む、請求項3に記載のコネクタヘッダ。
- 前記複数の第2流体シールが前記複数の第1電気コネクタ要素を上回っていて、前記連結手段によって末端流体シールが前記積層体の両端に固定されており、更に、前記末端流体シールに嵌合された、前記流体シールを圧潰又は変形させる傾向にある力に対して前記流体シールを機械的に補強する補強手段を含む、請求項1に記載のコネクタヘッダ。
- 前記各ヘッダコネクタ要素が、第1端壁と第2端壁との間を延びる側壁の形を成しており、前記側壁が、前記第1端壁から延び出ている第1おすフランジと、前記第2端壁から延び出ている環状の第2コネクタおすフランジとを有しており、
前記各流体シールが、第1端壁と第2端壁との間を延びる側壁の形を成しており、前記側壁が、前記第1端壁に形成された第1めす溝と、前記第2端壁に形成された第2めす溝とを有しており、
前記コネクタ要素ボアが前記流体シールボアに軸方向で位置合わせされて積層体軸及び積層体ボアを画定する状態で、前記複数の第1ヘッダコネクタ要素の前記第1/第2フランジのうち所定の1つが前記複数の第2流体シールの前記第1/第2溝に挿入され、前記複数の第1ヘッダコネクタ要素が前記複数の第2流体シールに連結して積層体を形成する、請求項1に記載のコネクタヘッダ。 - 連結した溝及びフランジが、環状をしており、前記積層体軸に平行に延びて、前記ヘッダコネクタ要素と前記流体シールとを機械的に連結させるように形成されている、請求項6に記載のコネクタヘッダ。
- 前記複数の第1ヘッダコネクタ要素が、内部チャネルを形成する第1端壁と第2端壁との間を延びる側壁の形を成し、前記内部チャネル内に嵌合されて保持された連続コイルばねを更に含んでいて、前記コイルばねの螺旋構造(turn)が前記ヘッダコネクタ要素ボアに挿入されたリードコネクタ要素に接する、請求項1又は6に記載のコネクタヘッダ。
- 前記複数の第2流体シールのうち少なくとも1つのシールボアに、前記流体シールボアに挿入されたリード絶縁要素に摩擦係合するようにサイズ設定されたシールリングが形成されている、請求項1又は6に記載のコネクタヘッダ。
- 止めねじをコネクタブロックボアに径方向で位置合わせした状態で支持する止めねじコネクタ要素を更に含んでおり、前記止めねじコネクタ要素に、前記止めねじコネクタ要素から前記複数の第2流体シールのうち少なくとも1つの対合溝へと延びるフランジが形成されており、前記コネクタブロックボアが前記流体シールボア及び前記コネクタ要素ボアに軸方向で位置合わせされて積層体ボア及び積層体軸を画定する状態で、前記フランジが前記止めねじコネクタ要素を連結させて前記積層体を形成する、請求項6に記載のコネクタヘッダ。
- 止めねじをコネクタブロックボアに径方向で位置合わせした状態で支持する止めねじコネクタ要素を更に含んでおり、前記止めねじコネクタ要素に、前記止めねじコネクタ要素の第1側部から前記複数の第2流体シールのうち1番目の流体シールの対合溝へと延びる第1フランジと、前記止めねじコネクタ要素の第2側部から前記複数の第2流体シールのうち2番目の流体シールの対合溝へと延びる第2フランジとが形成されており、前記コネクタブロックボアが前記流体シールボア及び前記コネクタ要素ボアに軸方向で位置合わせされて積層体ボア及び積層体軸を画定する状態で、前記第1/第2フランジが前記止めねじコネクタ要素を連結させて前記積層体を形成する、請求項6に記載のコネクタヘッダ。
- 前記複数の第2流体シールが前記複数の第1電気コネクタ要素を上回っていて、末端流体シールが、各末端流体シールに末端溝が設けられていない連結したフランジ及び溝によって前記積層体の両端に固定されており、更に、前記末端流体シールの末端溝に嵌合された、前記流体シールを圧潰又は変形させる傾向にある力に対して前記流体シールを機械的に補強する補強フランジを含む、請求項6に記載のコネクタヘッダ。
- 電子回路を内蔵した植込み型医療デバイス用のコネクタヘッダを製造する方法であって、前記コネクタヘッダが、植込み型医療用リードのリードコネクタアセンブリを受け取って前記リードコネクタアセンブリとの間の接続をもたらすヘッダボアを有し、
前記方法は、
IPG筐体の表面に取り付けられるような形状をした取付け表面と、前記リードコネクタアセンブリが接続のためにその中に挿入されるヘッダボア入口と、前記ヘッダボア入口に軸方向で位置合わせされたキャビティとを有する、コネクタヘッダ基部を提供するステップと、
リードコネクタ要素を受け取って前記リードコネクタ要素と電気的に接触するようにサイズ設定されたコネクタ要素ボアをそれぞれ有する複数の第1導電性ヘッダコネクタ要素と、リード絶縁要素を受け取るようにサイズ設定されたシールボアをそれぞれ有する可撓性の複数の第2電気絶縁流体シールとを連結させて、前記コネクタ要素ボアが前記流体シールボアと軸方向に位置合わせされて積層体ボア及び積層体軸を画定する状態で、前記ヘッダコネクタ要素を電気的に絶縁する、ヘッダコネクタ要素と流体シールとが交互に並んだ積層体を形成するステップと、
前記ヘッダコネクタ要素を前記リードコネクタ要素と電気的に接触させ、更に前記流体シールを前記リード絶縁要素と接触させて、前記積層体ボアが前記ヘッダボア入口に軸方向で位置合わせされて前記リードコネクタアセンブリを受け取るヘッダボアを画定する状態で、前記積層体を前記コネクタヘッダ基部の陥凹部内に固定するステップと、を含む方法。 - 前記各ヘッダコネクタ要素から前記積層体軸に平行に延びて隣接した流体シールへと達する結合部材を挿入して、ヘッダコネクタ要素と流体シールとを機械的に連結するステップを更に含む、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の第1ヘッダコネクタ要素それぞれが、内部チャネルを形成する第1端壁と第2端壁との間を延びる側壁の形を成しており、前記方法が、前記内部チャネル内に嵌合された連続コイルばねを嵌合させるステップを更に含んでおり、前記コイルばねの螺旋構造が前記ヘッダコネクタ要素ボアに挿入されたリードコネクタ要素に接する、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 止めねじをコネクタブロックボアに径方向で位置合わせした状態で支持する止めねじコネクタ要素を、前記コネクタブロックボアが前記流体シールボア及び前記コネクタ要素ボアに軸方向で位置合わせされて積層体ボア及び積層体軸を画定する状態で、前記複数の第2流体シールのうち少なくとも1つに連結させるステップを更に含む、請求項13に記載の方法。
- リードコネクタ要素を受け取って前記リードコネクタ要素と電気的に接続するようにサイズ設定されたコネクタ要素ボアをそれぞれ有する、複数の第1電導性ヘッダコネクタ要素を提供するステップであって、前記各ヘッダコネクタ要素が、第1端壁と第2端壁との間を延びる側壁の形を成しており、前記側壁が、前記第1端壁から延び出ている第1おすフランジと、前記第2端壁から延び出ている環状の第2コネクタ環状おすフランジとを有するステップと、
リード絶縁要素を受け取るようにサイズ設定されたシールボアをそれぞれ有する可撓性の複数の第2電気絶縁流体シールを提供するステップであって、前記各流体シールが、第1端壁と第2端壁との間を延びる側壁の形を成しており、前記側壁が、前記第1端壁に形成された第1めす溝と、前記第2端壁に形成された第2めす溝とを有するステップと、
前記コネクタ要素ボアが前記流体シールボアに軸方向で位置合わせされて積層体軸及び積層体ボアを画定する状態で、前記複数の第1ヘッダコネクタ要素の前記第1及び第2フランジのうち所定の1つを前記複数の第2流体シールの前記第1及び第2溝に挿入し、前記複数の第1ヘッダコネクタ要素を前記複数の第2流体シールに連結させて積層体を形成するステップとを含む、請求項13に記載の方法。
