For the purpose of increasing the brightness of a display device such as a liquid crystal display, a backlight unit used by being arranged on the back side of the display device includes, for example, a plurality of fluorescent lights as disclosed in each publication of Patent Documents 1 to 3. A structure in which a lamp is mounted so as to face a reflector is known.
JP-A-8-17397 JP 2002-82623 A Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 6-258639

As described above, in the backlight units disclosed in these publications, although a plurality of fluorescent lamps are mounted facing the reflector, the number of fluorescent lamps is increased or decreased when brightness adjustment is required. It is possible to deal with it.

However, in these conventional backlight units, it is not easy to increase or decrease the number of fluorescent lamps. For example, a mold for manufacturing these members by changing the design of the reflector and the frame that supports the reflector is used. A reflector plate and a frame which are newly manufactured and have a structure in which the number of fluorescent lamps attached is increased or decreased are manufactured by this mold. As described above, it is not easy to change the brightness, and a large manufacturing cost is required for the change.
The present invention has been made in consideration of the above facts, and an object of the present invention is to provide a backlight unit in which the brightness can be easily changed and the cost for changing the brightness is reduced.

The backlight unit according to claim 1 is formed of a conductive member, and a fluorescent lamp that emits light when power is input is attachable to one end, and a lamp connecting member that is connected to the power source at the other end;
A holding member capable of holding the lamp connecting member;
A main body member formed with a plurality of fixing portions to which the holding member can be attached and detached;
It is characterized by comprising.

The operation of the backlight unit according to claim 1 will be described below.
According to the present invention, a fluorescent lamp that emits light when power is input can be attached to one end of a lamp connecting member formed of a conductive member, and the other end of the lamp connecting member is connected to a power source. It has become so. Further, the lamp connecting member is fixed to the main body member via the holding member by detachably attaching a holding member for holding the lamp connecting member to a fixing portion formed in a row on the main body member.

Therefore, in a state where the holding member holding the lamp connecting member is attached to the main body member and the lamp connecting member is connected to the power source, the fluorescent lamp is attached to the lamp connecting member, so that the fluorescent lamp is connected to the lamp connecting member via the lamp connecting member. Since the power source is connected to the fluorescent lamp, the fluorescent lamp emits light when power is supplied from the power source to the fluorescent lamp.

As described above, according to the backlight unit of the present invention, the structure of the backlight unit is simplified by using the lamp connecting member having conductivity and the holding member holding the lamp connecting member. In addition, the lamp connecting member can be selectively disposed in any one of a plurality of fixing portions formed side by side on the main body member, or the lamp connecting members can be disposed in all the fixing portions.

Accordingly, as the number of fluorescent lamps attached to the main body member of the backlight unit can be changed, the brightness can be easily changed. Therefore, it is possible to easily change the brightness without producing a mold for the main body member of the backlight unit and changing the structure of the main body member, thereby reducing the cost when changing the brightness. became.

The backlight unit according to claim 2 is formed of a conductive member, and a fluorescent lamp that emits light upon input of power is attachable to one end, and a lamp connecting member that is connected to the power source at the other end;
A holding member capable of holding the lamp connecting member;
An elastically deformable portion formed on the lamp connecting member or the holding member so as to be elastically deformable;
A main body member having a guide portion capable of slidably guiding the holding member;
A receiving portion that is formed on the main body member and that is positioned at an arbitrary position within the guide portion by the elasticity of the elastic deforming portion with the elastic deforming portion being in contact with the lamp connecting member;
It is characterized by comprising.

The operation of the backlight unit according to claim 2 will be described below.
According to the present invention, as in the first aspect, a fluorescent lamp that emits light upon input of electric power can be attached to one end of a lamp connecting member formed of a conductive member. The other end is connected to a power source.

Further, the holding member for holding the lamp connecting member is guided so as to be slidable within the guide portion provided in the main body member, and an elastically deforming portion formed on the lamp connecting member or the holding member so as to be elastically deformable The structure is configured to be in contact with a receiving portion formed on the main body member. The lamp connecting member can be positioned at an arbitrary position in the guide portion via the holding member by the urging force of the elastic deformation portion as the elastic deformation portion comes into contact with the receiving portion and elastically deforms.

Therefore, as in claim 1, the present invention also attaches the fluorescent lamp to the lamp connecting member in a state where the holding member holding the lamp connecting member is attached to the main body member and the lamp connecting member is connected to the power source. Thus, since the fluorescent lamp and the power source are connected via the lamp connecting member, the fluorescent lamp emits light when power is supplied from the power source to the fluorescent lamp.

As described above, according to the backlight unit of the present invention, not only the structure of the backlight unit is simplified, but also the lamp is placed at an arbitrary position in the guide portion formed on the main body member. A connecting member can be arranged, and accordingly, an arbitrary number of lamp connecting members can be arranged in the guide portion. Accordingly, as in the first aspect, the brightness can be easily changed as the number of fluorescent lamps attached to the main body member of the backlight unit can be changed. Cost can be reduced.

The backlight unit according to claim 3 is formed of a conductive member, and a fluorescent lamp that emits light when power is input can be attached to one end, and a lamp connecting member that has the other end connected to a power source;
A holding member capable of holding the lamp connecting member;
A main body member having a guide portion in which irregularities are continuously formed;
An engaging portion that is formed in a convex shape or a concave shape on the holding member and that engages with the unevenness of the guide portion to position the lamp connecting member at an arbitrary position in the guide portion,
It is characterized by comprising.

The operation of the backlight unit according to claim 3 will be described below.
According to the present invention, as in the first and second aspects, a fluorescent lamp that emits light by input of electric power can be attached to one end of a lamp connecting member formed of a conductive member. The other end of the lamp connecting member is connected to a power source.

Further, the convex or concave engaging portion formed on the holding member capable of holding the lamp connecting member is configured to engage with the continuous irregularities of the guide portion provided on the main body member. Then, when the engaging portion engages with the unevenness of the guide portion, the lamp connecting member can be positioned at an arbitrary position in the guide portion via the holding member.

Accordingly, in the present claim as well as in the first and second aspects, the lamp connecting member is attached to the main body member and the lamp connecting member is connected to the power source in a state where the lamp connecting member is connected to the lamp connecting member. By attaching the lamp, the fluorescent lamp and the power source are connected via the lamp connecting member, so that the fluorescent lamp emits light when power is supplied from the power source to the fluorescent lamp.

As described above, according to the backlight unit of the present invention, the structure of the backlight unit is simplified as well as the first and second aspects. The lamp connecting member can be arranged at a position, and accordingly, an arbitrary number of lamp connecting members can be arranged in the guide portion. Accordingly, as in the first and second aspects, as the number of fluorescent lamps attached to the main body member of the backlight unit can be changed, the brightness can be easily changed, and the brightness can be changed. The cost of changing can be reduced.

According to the backlight unit of the present invention, it is possible to easily change the brightness and reduce the cost when changing the brightness, and it is particularly suitable for illuminating the liquid crystal display by being arranged on the back of the liquid crystal display. The backlight unit.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be clarified by describing a first embodiment of a backlight unit according to the present invention with reference to the drawings. 1 and 5 are perspective views showing an appearance of a backlight unit 10 for illumination of a liquid crystal display (not shown) according to the present embodiment. A frame 12 constitutes an outer frame of the backlight unit 10 shown in FIGS. 1 and 5 to which one end side of the reflection plate 14 is attached. Although not shown, the other end side of the reflecting plate 14 is also attached to another frame.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the frame 12 has a plurality of concave fixing portions 42 formed at equal intervals, and is formed on a wall portion on the back side that forms the fixing portions 42. Are arranged so that the hook-shaped claw portion 44 stands upright. In addition, there are a plurality of synthetic resin-made holding members 46 shown in FIG. 3 which are U-shaped and fit into the fixing portion 42, and each of the holding members 46 is detachably attached to the fixing portion 42. To get.

That is, by pushing the holding member 46 against the elasticity of the claw portion 44 into the fixed portion 42 from above, for example, from above in FIG. 2, the holding member 46 is easily engaged with the claw portion 44 and the holding member 46 is moved to this position. While being supported by the claw portion 44, it is attached to the fixed portion 42 of the frame 12. In addition, when removing the holding member 46 from the frame 12, the claw portion 44 can be easily removed by pushing it into the back side of FIG.

On the other hand, as shown in FIG. 3, a pair of groove portions 16, which are linearly extending grooves, are formed in the left and right portions of the concave portion 46 </ b> A provided in the central portion of the holding member 46. The left and right ends of the lamp connecting member 22 formed by bending a conductive member such as a metal plate are press-fitted into the pair of grooves 16, respectively, so that the holding member 46 holds the lamp connecting member 22. It has become. As described above, the lamp connecting member 22 is fixed to the frame 12 by attaching the holding member 46 holding the lamp connecting member 22 to the fixing portion 42 of the frame 12.

On the other hand, as shown in FIGS. 4, 6, and 7, a hole-shaped electrode portion 22 </ b> B serving as a burring-formed through hole is formed in the center portion of the lamp connecting member 22. A pair of arms 24 each extending while being bent is provided in a symmetrical portion with 22B as the center. And the base part of this pair of arm 24 is made into the arc-shaped electrode part 22C formed in the arc shape, respectively.

As shown in FIGS. 4 and 7, the middle of the pair of arms 24 is formed into an arc shape after the space between the arms is once narrowed, so that the lamp holder having a circular space between them is formed. Part 26. Further, the tip side portions of the pair of arms 24 are structured to be open to each other.

Accordingly, a lamp holding portion 26 formed by a pair of arms 24 is provided on the lower side of the lamp connecting member 22 in FIG. 7, and an input terminal 28A formed in a cylindrical shape of the fluorescent lamp 28 is provided with a pair of The lamp holder 26 can be easily attached from the front end side portion where the arms 24 are open. Also, when the input terminal 28A of the fluorescent lamp 28 is removed, it can be easily removed by applying a force to pull the fluorescent lamp 28 away from the lamp connecting member 22. That is, the fluorescent lamp 28 can be easily attached to and detached from the lamp connecting member 22.

As described above, a plurality of fixing portions 42 are formed on the frame 12 at equal intervals. As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, for example, the lamp connecting members 22 are held in every other fixing portion 42. It is conceivable to selectively attach the holding member 46 in the state and attach the input terminal 28 </ b> A of the fluorescent lamp 28 to the lamp holding portion 26 of the lamp connecting member 22. As a result, in the present embodiment, the brightness is about half that when the holding member 46 holding the lamp connecting member 22 is attached to all the fixing portions 42 of the frame 12.

Further, as shown in FIGS. 4, 6, and 7, a planar electrode portion 22A formed in a planar shape is provided in a portion adjacent to the hole-shaped electrode portion 22B on the upper side of the lamp connecting member 22. ing. A rubber connector 32, which is a connector material that is formed in a rectangular parallelepiped shape and has elasticity and conductivity, is installed on the planar electrode portion 22A. In the rubber connector 32, a plurality of metal wires 32A are inserted at equal intervals to ensure conductivity.

Further, the claw portions 18 and 20 having portions protruding in a tapered shape on the front end side stand upright on the reflector 14 and the frame 12 on the back side of the backlight unit 10 and on the upper surface side in FIG. Are arranged side by side. On the other hand, not only the transformer 38 but also electronic components (not shown) are mounted on the printed circuit board 36 to form a power supply unit 34 that is an inverter unit for driving the backlight. As shown in FIG. The unit 34 can supply electric power to the outside from a pattern surface 36 </ b> A which is a land serving as an output terminal disposed on the lower surface side of the printed circuit board 36.

Then, the power supply unit is resisted against the elasticity of the claw portion 18 of the frame 12 and the claw portion 20 of the reflector 14 from the back side of the backlight unit 10 so that the pattern surface 36A is in a positional relationship facing the rubber connector 32. When the power supply unit 34 is easily engaged with the hook-shaped claws 18 and 20 by pressing the 34 against the reflective plate 14 side, the frame 12 and the reflective plate 14 constituting the main body member of the backlight unit 10 are This power supply unit 34 is supported. In addition, when removing the power supply unit 34 from the frame 12 and the reflecting plate 14, the claw portions 18 and 20 can be easily spread out to be removed.

As a result, the pattern surface 36A of the printed circuit board 36 constituting the power supply unit 34 comes into contact with the rubber connector 32 and is electrically connected. At this time, the frame 12 and the reflector 14 The rubber connector 32 is securely held between the pattern surface 36A of the printed circuit board 36 supported by the lamp connecting member 22 and the lamp connecting member 22 fixed to the frame 12 via the holding member 46. Along with this, the pattern surface 36A and the planar electrode portion 22A of the lamp connecting member 22 are electrically connected via a conductive portion in the rubber connector 32, whereby electric power is supplied to the fluorescent lamp 28. When supplied, the fluorescent lamp 28 emits light.

Further, in the backlight unit 10 of the present embodiment, the lamp connecting member 22 and the holding member 46 that holds the lamp connecting member 22 are respectively provided at every other portion of the fixing portions 42 present in the frame 12. Accordingly, the power supply unit 34 and the fluorescent lamp 28 are connected to one lamp connecting member 22 one by one. Therefore, a plurality of power supply units 34 and fluorescent lamps 28 can be attached according to the number of lamp connecting members 22.

Next, the operation of the backlight unit 10 according to the present embodiment will be described.
According to the backlight unit 10 according to the present embodiment, the fluorescent lamp 28 that emits light by the input of electric power can be attached to the lamp holding portion 26 that is one end of the lamp connecting member 22 formed of a conductive member. In addition, the planar electrode portion 22 </ b> A that is the other end of the lamp connecting member 22 is connected to the power supply unit 34 via the rubber connector 32. Further, a holding member 46 for holding the lamp connecting member 22 is detachably attached to a plurality of fixing portions 42 formed side by side on the frame 12, so that the lamp connecting member 22 is attached to the frame 12 via the holding member 46. It is fixed.

That is, the holding member 46 that holds the lamp connecting member 22 is attached to the frame 12, and the power unit 34 is supported by the frame 12 and the reflection plate 14. The rubber connector 32 disposed on the planar electrode portion 22A is electrically connected between the lamp connecting member 22 and the lamp connecting member 22 to the power supply unit 34.

Then, the fluorescent lamp 28 is attached to the lamp holding portion 26 of the lamp connecting member 22 in a state where the lamp connecting member 22 is connected to the power supply unit 34, whereby the fluorescent lamp is connected via the rubber connector 32 and the lamp connecting member 22. 28 and the power supply unit 34 are connected, the fluorescent lamp 28 emits light when power is supplied from the pattern surface 36A of the power supply unit 34 to the input terminal 28A of the fluorescent lamp 28.

As described above, according to the backlight unit 10 of the present embodiment, the lamp connecting member 22 having conductivity and the holding member 46 that holds the lamp connecting member 22 are used. In addition to simplifying the structure, the lamp connecting member 22 is selectively disposed in any one of the fixing portions 42 formed side by side on the frame 12, or the lamp connecting members 22 are disposed on all the fixing portions 42. Can be placed.

Accordingly, as the number of fluorescent lamps 28 attached to the frame 12 of the backlight unit 10 can be changed, the brightness can be easily changed. For this reason, the brightness can be easily changed without manufacturing the mold for the frame 12 of the backlight unit 10 and changing the structure of the frame 12, so that the cost for changing the brightness can be reduced. Became.

Next, a second embodiment of the backlight unit according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. In addition, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected to the member same as the member demonstrated in 1st Embodiment, and the duplicate description is abbreviate | omitted.
Similar to the first embodiment, this embodiment also has the lamp connecting member 22 and the holding member 46 shown in FIGS. However, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 10, the holding member 46 that can hold the lamp connecting member 22 is formed in a plate shape, and the opening 46B that penetrates the upper and lower surfaces of the holding member 46 is formed. It has a structure. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 11, an elastic piece 48, which is an elastically deformable portion formed in a cantilever shape so as to be elastically deformable, is provided at one end of the metallic lamp connecting member 22. The elastic piece 48 extends upward and is bent at a middle bent portion 48A to form a V shape.

On the other hand, the frame 12 is provided with a guide portion 50, which is a guide groove capable of slidably guiding the holding member 46, so as to be formed long along the longitudinal direction of the frame 12. On the lower surface side of the upper wall 50A constituting the upper portion of the guide portion 50, a receiving portion 52 having a structure in which irregularities are continuously formed is provided. For this reason, the bent portion 48 </ b> A of the elastic piece 48 is brought into contact with the concave portion of the receiving portion 52.

Next, the operation of the backlight unit 10 according to the present embodiment will be described.
According to the backlight unit 10 according to the present embodiment, as in the first embodiment, a fluorescent lamp 28 that emits light when power is input can be attached to one end of the lamp connecting member 22. The other end of the connection member 22 is connected to the power supply unit 34.

Further, a holding member 46 for holding the lamp connecting member 22 is guided so as to be slidable within a guide portion 50 provided in the frame 12, and is formed on the lamp connecting member 22 so as to be elastically deformable. The elastic piece 48 is in contact with the receiving portion 52 formed on the frame 12 as described above. As the elastic piece 48 comes into contact with the receiving portion 52 and elastically deforms, the urging force of the elastic piece 48 positions the lamp connecting member 22 and the holding member 46 at arbitrary positions in the guide portion 50. It becomes possible.

Accordingly, in the present embodiment, similarly to the first embodiment, the holding member 46 holding the lamp connecting member 22 is attached to the frame 12 and the lamp connecting member 22 is connected to the power supply unit 34. A fluorescent lamp 28 can be attached to the lamp holding portion 26 of the lamp connecting member 22. Accordingly, since the fluorescent lamp 28 and the power supply unit 34 are connected via the lamp connecting member 22, the fluorescent lamp 28 emits light when power is supplied from the power supply unit 34 to the fluorescent lamp 28.

As described above, according to the backlight unit 10 of the present embodiment, not only the structure of the backlight unit 10 is simplified, but also the guide portion 50 formed in the frame 12 as in the first embodiment. The lamp connecting member 22 can be arranged at an arbitrary position within the guide portion 50, and an arbitrary number of lamp connecting members 22 can be arranged within the guide portion 50.

Accordingly, as in the first embodiment, as the number of fluorescent lamps 28 attached to the frame 12 of the backlight unit 10 can be changed, the brightness can be easily changed, and the brightness can be changed. The cost of changing can be reduced. In the present embodiment, the elastic piece 48 as the elastic deformation portion is provided at one end of the metal lamp connecting member 22, but the elastic deformation portion may be provided in the holding member 46.

Next, a third embodiment of the backlight unit according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. In addition, the same code | symbol is attached | subjected to the member same as the member demonstrated in 1st Embodiment and 2nd Embodiment, and the overlapping description is abbreviate | omitted.
Similar to the first and second embodiments, this embodiment also has the lamp connecting member 22 and the holding member 46 shown in FIGS. However, in the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 14, the holding member 46 that can hold the lamp connecting member 22 is formed in a plate shape as in the second embodiment, and penetrates the upper and lower surfaces thereof. The structure has an opening 46B. In addition, an engaging portion 54 formed so as to protrude convexly toward the back side is provided at the back side portion of the holding member 46.

On the other hand, the frame 12 shown in FIG. 12 and FIG. 13 is provided with a guide portion 50 which is a guide groove so as to be formed long along the longitudinal direction of the frame 12. The wall portion 50B constituting the portion has a structure in which irregularities are continuously formed. For this reason, by arranging the holding member 46 at an arbitrary position of the guide portion 50 of the frame 12, the convex engaging portion 54 is engaged with the concave portion of the concave and convex portions of the guide portion 50. .

Next, the operation of the backlight unit 10 according to the present embodiment will be described.
According to the backlight unit 10 according to the present embodiment, the fluorescent lamp 28 that emits light by the input of electric power can be attached to one end of the lamp connecting member 22 as in the first and second embodiments. The other end of the lamp connecting member 22 is connected to the power supply unit 34.

Further, the convex engaging portion 54 formed on the holding member 46 capable of holding the lamp connecting member 22 is engaged with the concave portion of the continuous irregularities of the guide portion 50 provided on the frame 12. It has become. Then, the engaging portion 54 engages with the concave portion of the guide portion 50, so that the lamp connecting member 22 and the holding member 46 can be positioned at arbitrary positions in the guide portion 50.

Accordingly, in the present embodiment, similarly to the first and second embodiments, the holding member 46 holding the lamp connecting member 22 is attached to the frame 12 and the lamp connecting member 22 is connected to the power supply unit 34. Thus, by attaching the fluorescent lamp 28 to the lamp holding portion 26 of the lamp connecting member 22, the fluorescent lamp 28 emits light.

As described above, according to the backlight unit 10 of the present embodiment, not only the structure of the backlight unit 10 is simplified, but also the frame 12 is formed as in the first and second embodiments. The lamp connecting member 22 can be arranged at an arbitrary position in the guide portion 50, and accordingly, an arbitrary number of lamp connecting members 22 can be arranged in the guide portion 50.

Accordingly, as in the first and second embodiments, as the number of fluorescent lamps 28 attached to the frame 12 of the backlight unit 10 can be changed, the brightness can be easily changed. The cost when changing the brightness can be reduced. In the present embodiment, the convex engaging portion 54 is formed on the holding member 46. However, even if the engaging portion 54 is formed in a concave shape, the concave and convex portions of the guide portion 50 are related. In addition, since the lamp connecting member 22 can be positioned at an arbitrary position in the guide portion 50, the engaging portion 54 may be concave.

On the other hand, in the present embodiment, the lamp connecting member 22 simultaneously has a plurality of electrode portions such as the planar electrode portion 22A, the hole electrode portion 22B, and the arc-shaped electrode portion 22C, and any one of the plurality of electrode portions and the power supply unit 34 are combined. Therefore, the power supply unit 34 can be flexibly connected to the lamp connecting member 22. That is, the connection structure can be properly used depending on the manufacturing cost, the assembly workability, the structure of the backlight unit 10, and the like.

Furthermore, according to the present embodiment, as a result of using the lamp connecting member 22 described above, the power supply unit 34 and the fluorescent lamp 28 can be connected in a shortest distance of about 3 mm, resulting in a high voltage. It becomes possible to reduce the leakage current from the portion and reduce the AC resistance. Along with this, a portion having a voltage difference between the high voltage portion and the peripheral parts is also shortened, and the safety is also improved. Moreover, although the said embodiment demonstrated the backlight unit for the illumination of a liquid crystal display, you may employ | adopt this invention to another kind of display apparatus.
