キッチンキャビネットや収納庫における引き出しは、収納物の大型化、取り出し易さの追求などから間口が広く、背の高い、大型引き出しの採用が極めて多くなってきた。
大型の引き出しは大型の調理器具、ストック用の飲食料品、大型の食器を収納することになるが、間口奥行が広いので、複数の大きさの収納物を配置することになる。
