Field of the Invention The present invention relates to an air purifying apparatus particularly suitable for purifying polluted air due to vehicle exhaust gas. 2. Description of the Related Art Exhaust gas emitted from vehicles contains a large amount of pollutants such as carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and dust. At an arterial road, a parking lot, an intersection where cars are congested, or around a department store, the air is polluted by exhaust gas.
Conventionally, a device for purifying air contaminated with exhaust gas has not been installed in a place where such a large number of vehicles pass or enter. [0003] The problem is that simply installing a conventional filter-type air purifying device impairs the appearance of roads, parking lots, intersections and department stores. Because there is. The present invention has been devised in view of such circumstances, and an object of the present invention is to provide an air purification device that can be installed in a place where a number of vehicles pass or exit without impairing aesthetic appearance. It is in. [0004] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention comprises a soil on which plants can be planted and microorganisms can grow, and a peripheral wall and a bottom wall for accommodating the soil. A container, an air passage that guides the contaminated air to the bottom of the soil, an air flow unit that sucks the contaminated air and supplies the contaminated air to the air passage, and is provided on a bottom surface of the container to prevent escape of the contaminated air. A watertight trap-type drainage part for releasing water when a predetermined amount or more of water enters the container. An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the air purification device, FIG. 2 is a front view in a used state, and FIG. 3 is a sectional side view of the air purification device. 1
Is an air purification device. In this embodiment, a large number of air purification devices 1 are provided along the side of a slope S connecting a road and an underground parking lot. The air purification device 1 includes a soil 3 in which a plant 2 is planted, a container 5 for storing the soil 3 (corresponding to a soil container), and a perforated pipe 7 (in an air passage) for guiding contaminated air to the bottom of the soil 3. And a blower 9 which sucks in the contaminated air and supplies the perforated pipe 7 with the contaminated air.
(Corresponding to air flow means), and a case 11 (corresponding to a container for air flow means) in which the blower 9 is accommodated. [0006] The soil 3 is formed by mixing pearlite or the like based on soil in which microorganisms can propagate, for example, black soil or the like to increase the porosity. A gravel layer 301 made of crushed stone or the like is provided at the bottom of the soil 3, and the perforated pipe 7 is embedded in the gravel layer 301. The container 5 has a rectangular shape in a plan view, and includes four side surfaces 501 and a bottom surface 503 provided at the lower end of the side surfaces 501. A container 5 containing the plant 2 and the soil 3 and a case 11 containing a blower 9
Are movable together, two containers 5 are arranged side by side in the longitudinal direction, and the case 11 is arranged between these containers 5. The width and height of the case 11 are the same as those of the container 5, and the upper part of the front of the container 5 has a suction port 1 for contaminated air.
101 is open. The blower 9 includes a case main body 901 having a fan (not shown) provided therein, a suction pipe 903 protruding from the case main body 901, and two discharge pipes 9.
05, and the tip of the suction pipe 903 is connected to the suction port 1101.
And two discharge pipes 905 are connected to the corresponding perforated pipes 7, and in this embodiment, one case 11 in which the two containers 5 in which the plants 2 are planted and the blower 9 are accommodated.
And are unitized. In FIG. 1, reference numeral 13 denotes a sensor for detecting whether or not a vehicle has passed. When it is confirmed by the sensor 13 that the vehicle has passed, for example, the blower 9 is driven for a predetermined time. It is configured. In FIG. 2, 15
Is a solar panel constituting a part of the solar cell. In the embodiment, the fan 9 is driven to rotate by electric energy generated by the solar cell. In addition, at the four corners of the bottom surface of the container 5, drainage portions of a water sealing trap type are formed, and when a predetermined amount or more of water enters the container 5, the water is released and the drainage portion is purified. Not let the air escape. Next, the operation will be described. When the vehicle passes the slope S, the sensor 13 detects that the vehicle has passed, and the blower 9 is driven to rotate. When the blower 9 is rotationally driven, the contaminated air contaminated by the exhaust gas is sucked from the suction port 1101 and the suction pipe 903, and supplied from the two discharge pipes 905 to the corresponding perforated pipes 7, respectively. Then, the contaminated air is removed from the soil layer 301 to the soil 3.
And returns to the atmosphere from the surface of the soil 3 through the soil 3. When the air passes through the soil 3, dust is captured and impurities such as hydrocarbon gas such as methane are adsorbed by the physical action of the soil 3 as a filter.
Also, pollutants such as impurity components are decomposed by microorganisms. Aerobic microorganisms proliferate on the surface of the soil 3 or on the part where air flows inside the soil 3, and anaerobic microorganisms proliferate on the part where the air does not flow inside the soil 3,
For example, carbon monoxide is mainly converted into carbon dioxide, nitric oxide is mainly converted into nitrate ions, and methane gas is mainly converted into carbon dioxide by being consumed in the cells of these microorganisms and used for respiration. Decomposes into carbon and water, thus removing contaminants. Then, the clean air from which the contaminants have been removed passes through the soil 3 and is returned to the atmosphere from the surface of the soil 3 between the plants 2. As described above, the air purifying apparatus 1 according to the present embodiment.
According to the method, the soil 3 on which the plant 2 is planted is used to purify the contaminated air, so that a plant or a flower bed is installed instead of installing a purification device. The air purification device 1 can be installed without impairing the beauty of the vicinity. In addition, since water-sealing portions of a water-trap type are formed at the four corners of the bottom surface of the container 5,
When a predetermined amount or more of water enters the container 5, the water can be released without releasing unpurified air. The replacement of the plant 2 and the replacement of the soil are optional. In particular, the replacement of the plant 2 is advantageous in enhancing the aesthetic appearance. The blower 9 may be driven using solar energy as in the embodiment, or may be driven using a commercial power supply or the like. In the embodiment, the case where the air passage is constituted by the perforated pipe 7 has been described. However, the air passage is constituted by, for example, a space below the bottom portion 503 and partitioned by an area corresponding to the area of the bottom portion 503. In short, any structure that can supply contaminated air to the bottom of the soil 3 may be used. Further, in the embodiment, the case where the case 11 accommodating the blower 9 is disposed on the side of the container 5 has been described, but the container 5 and the case 11 may be integrated, or the lower part of the container 5 may be provided. Etc., a space for accommodating the blower may be secured, and the blower 9 may be accommodated in this space.
The blower 9 may be arranged at a location away from the container 5, and in this case, the air passage connecting the blower 9 and the bottom of the soil 3 becomes longer. Although the place where the air purification device 1 according to the present invention is installed is of course arbitrary regardless of indoor or outdoor, in addition to the embodiment, the place to be installed outdoors is a median strip of a main road, a parking lot, Another example is an intersection where a car is congested or a side of a sidewalk near a department store. As is apparent from the above description, according to the air purifying apparatus of the present invention, the air is purified using the soil in which the plants are planted. The air purifying device can be installed as if the vehicle is installed, and therefore, it is suitable to be installed at a place where a large number of vehicles pass or go, without spoiling the appearance.
