Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of installing a chair cushion which enables a user to attach a cushion to a seatback or a seat of a chair not equipped with a cushion easily and securely without using a setscrew and allows the user to have a variety of designs for the seatback and the seat. SOLUTION: Plural protrusions 18 for setting positions which join with penetrating holes 8 preset on a shell 7 are formed on a back side of a core material 10. Also, plural joining holes 17 are formed on the back side of the core material 10 at places where they match with the other penetrating holes 8 when the protrusion 18 for setting a position is joined to the corresponding, penetrating hole 8. The protrusion 18 for setting the position is joined to the corresponding, penetrating hole 8, and a rivet 21 to stop dropping out is joined to the joining hole 17 and the other matching, penetrating hole 8 from the back side of the shell 7.

According to the third aspect of the present invention, the strength of the periphery of the fitting hole is improved, the cushion body can be firmly connected to the shell, and the tip end of the stopper projects between the cushion bodies, so that the cushion body can be firmly connected. It is possible to prevent the material from being damaged or giving the seated person a feeling of protrusion. Also,
Since a slight gap is formed between the surface of the shell and the rear surface of the core material, the core material is easily bent, so that a comfortable sitting feeling can be given to the occupant, and the air permeability is good.
