2. Description of the Related Art As shown in FIGS. 4 to 6, a conventional three-winding cloth feeding mechanism 35 for sewing three ends of a cloth is wound three times in front of a sewing needle 2 (see FIG. 7). ) Is provided with a long (with a length of about 450 mm) triple winding guide 36, and the sewing machine needle 2 is positioned beside the three winding guide 36 and the sewing needle 2 from the setting position 41 of the fabric M. The cloth receiving plate 40 extending to a position beyond the position is arranged, and one cloth for transferring the cloth M in the cloth feeding direction (arrow Y direction) of the sewing machine 1 while pressing the cloth M on the upper surface of the cloth receiving plate 40. A feed belt 43 is provided,
By operating the cloth feed belt 43 alone or in synchronization with the sewing feed of the sewing machine 1, the cloth M set on the cloth receiving plate 40 is transferred, and during the transfer, the cloth ends first. The three-turn guide 36 is engaged with the three-turn guide 36 to form a three-turn, and then the three-turn portion H is sewn with the sewing needle 2.

As shown in FIG. 6, the conventional three-winding cloth feeding mechanism 35 has a three-winding section H with a cloth feeding belt 43 disposed on the side of a three-winding guide 36. Since the fabric M is configured to be wound three times by transferring the fabric M on the side while pressing the fabric M, the fabric end portion of the fabric wound three times protruding from the fabric feed belt 43 becomes longer, and the fabric end portion becomes longer. When passing through the inside of the three-volume guide 36, the fabric end portion is long if it receives the resisting force due to the bending action of the three-volume guide 36. 36, the winding of the fabric for three windings is often insufficient, and wrinkles are often formed in the three windings H. In particular, in a soft or stretchy fabric, the displacement increases.
In some cases, it is impossible to make three rolls and it becomes two rolls (punk). To improve it, a three-roll guide with low resistance is necessary. It required high skill and skill. On the other hand, in the case of a hard cloth, the resistance of the three-winding guide 36 becomes large, so that a strong clamping force is required for the cloth feed belt. Therefore, the clamping force is increased.
Nevertheless, displacement often occurred at the cloth feed belt portion, resulting in three winding defects. Therefore, in order to improve such a problem, it is necessary to attach the cloth feed belt as close to the cloth edge as possible, but the conventional method has a limitation.

Next, the operation of the three-fold cloth feeding mechanism 6 of the sewing machine 1 that sews three pocket cloths will be described. First, an operator places the pocket cloth 30 on the cloth receiving plate 12 in the setting area 13 as shown in FIG. 1, and abuts the cloth end against the ruler 18. Next, the worker puts the pocket cloth 30 under the front cloth feed belt 20 while following the ruler 18. Then, the first cloth detection sensor (not shown) is turned ON, the operation is started, and the drive motor 27 is started,
The front and rear cloth feed belts 20 and 21 are operated to start transferring the pocket cloth 30 in the cloth feed direction of the sewing machine 1 (arrow Y direction). Then, during this transfer, the cloth end portion of the pocket cloth 30 enters the triple winding guide 7 from the entrance 9 and starts to be bent by the bending action of the triple winding guide 7.

According to the present invention, the three-winding cloth is transferred while being pressed and held at a position near the cloth end by the cloth receiving plate 12 and the cloth feed belt 20 above the three-winding guide 7. Therefore, even if resistance is exerted by the action of folding into three windings in the three-winding guide 7, the parallel displacement of the cloth end portion is reduced, and a high quality three-turn winding can be obtained. In addition, even in the case of three windings of a hard cloth, a deviation in a cloth feeding belt portion hardly occurs.
