Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.情報を記憶する光3次元メモリーを製造する方法であって、以下の主要な 一連のステップから成る製造方法。 a)第1電磁放射の単一ビーム照射において蛍光性である第1形態、前記第1 電磁放射の照射において非蛍光性である第2形態のいずれかの形態にある材料か ら成る活性媒体を含む層で、基板をコーティングするステップであって、一方の 形態から他方の形態への転移が、前記第1放射のスペクトルとは異なったスペク トルで規定される第2電磁放射の単一ビームで前記材料を照射することによって 可能である、前記ステップ。 b)活性媒体を含む前記層を前記第1又は第2の電磁放射線で照射し、これに よって、前記媒体内のさまざまな位置に分布し、前記材料の前記第1又は第2形 態を含み、記録される情報のために割り当てられた複数の基本セルを、前記活性 媒体内に生成させるステップ。 c)活性媒体を含む前記層を保護中間層で覆うステップ。 2.前記照射が、同じ形態の前記材料を包含する基本セルを前記活性媒体内に 生成するように実行され、その量が基本セル毎に変化する、請求の範囲第1項記 載の方法。 3.基本セル内の前記材料の量が、バイナリ符号値をそれぞれが関連する2つ の究極値の内の一方に対応する、請求の範囲第2項記載の方法。 4.前記材料の量がさまざまな数値と関連する、請求の範囲第2項記載の方 法。 5.前記材料が少なくとも2つの異性形態で存在することが可能であり; 前記異性形態の内の1つの蛍光性が前記第1の放射線で照射されると誘導する ことが可能であり、1つの異性形態から他の形態への転移が前記第2の放射線に よって実行可能である、請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 6.前記第1の放射線による照射が記憶される予定の情報の読み出しと関連し ており、前記第2の放射線による照射が記憶される予定の情報の書き込みと関連 している、請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 7.前記第2の放射線による照射が、主として蛍光異性形態の前記材料を包含 する基本セルを生成することと関連する、請求の範囲第5項記載の方法。 8.前記第2の放射線による照射が、主として非蛍光形態の前記材料を包含す る基本セルを生成することと関連する、請求の範囲第5項記載の方法。 9.前記層の照射が、事前選択されたパターンに従って前記層の表面上に前記 基本セルを分布させるように実行される、請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 10.前記照射がマスクを介して前記層の表面全体にわたって実行される、請 求の範囲第9項記載の方法。 11.前記保護層が基板を含み、前記ステップから成る主要シーケンスが、 活性媒体を持つ層を少なくとも1つ得るために少なくとも1回は再開され、前記 層が中間層によって分割される、請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 12.トラックエラー検出と関連する情報パターンを、活性媒体を持つ前記層 内に作成するステップを含む、請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 13.トラックエラー検出と関連する前記情報パターンが、前記第2の電磁放 射線によって前記層を照射するのと同時に作成される、請求の範囲第12項記載 の方法。 14.トラックエラー検出と関連する前記情報パターンを作成し、これによっ て、記憶される予定の情報を関連する基本セルから分離する、請求の範囲第12 項記載の方法。 15.トラックエラー検出と関連する前記情報パターンが、記憶される予定の 情報と関連する基本セルと重ね合うように作成される、請求の範囲第12項記載 の方法。 16.前記メモリーが、活性媒体を持つ複数の層及びこれを分割する中間層を 含み、前記中間層が前記第2の電磁放射線に対してはかなり非透過性であり、前 記第1の電磁放射線に対してはかなり透過性である、請求の範囲第1項記載の方 法。 17.前記層の内の少なくとも1つが、他の層と関連する活性媒体と異なる 活性媒体を包含する、請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 18.活性媒体を持つ前記層の厚みが0.5〜5μmであり、前記中間層の厚 みが5〜100μmである、請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 19.蛍光セル内外の屈折率が実質的に同じである、請求の範囲第1項記載の 方法。 20.活性媒体を持つ前記層が整合した屈折率を有する、請求の範囲第1項記 載の方法。 21.活性媒体を持つ前記層の内の少なくとも1つが、他の層と関連する吸収 スペクトルと異なる吸収スペクトルを有する、請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 22.前記基本セルが0.6μmを越えない長手方向寸法及び3μmを越えない 活性媒体を持つ個々の層内の深さ伸長部によって画定される、請求の範囲第1項 記載の方法。 23.基本セルが同じ異性形態の前記材料を包含し、その量が基本セルによっ て変化する、請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 24.基本セルが同じ異性形態の前記材料を包含し、前記セルが、前記活性媒 体の個々の層内のさまざまな深さ伸長部によって画定される、請求の範囲第1項 記載の方法。 25.基本セルが同じ異性形態の前記材料を包含し、さまざまな長手方向寸法 によって画定される、請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 26.記憶される予定の情報を担持する前記層がスピンコーティング技法によ って形成される、請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 27.前記中間層がスピンコーティング技法によって生成される、請求の範囲 第1項記載の方法。 28.情報パターンを担持する第1の層が前記基板上で形成される、請求の範 囲第1項記載の方法。 29.第1の中間層が、情報パターンを担持している層の頂部上に形成される 、請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 30.情報パターンを担持している第2の層が第1の中間層の頂部上に形成さ れる、請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 31.前記活性媒体が、有機レーザー蛍光染料及び無機染料を含むグループか ら選択された少なくとも1つの染料を含む、請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 32.前記活性媒体の蛍光量子効率が30〜100%の範囲内に存在する、請 求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 33.前記中間層が、UV樹脂、ポジ/ネガのフォトレジスト、PMMA、ポ リカーボネート、ポリアミド、ポリステレン及びポリウレタンを含むグループか ら選択された少なくとも1つの材料を含む、請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 34.前記基本セルが、マスクを介してUV放射線に前記活性媒体を露光させる 露光技術によって生成される、請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 35.記憶される予定の情報を持つ前記層がアドレス検出と関連する情報パタ ーンを含む、請求の範囲第1項記載の方法。 36.3次元光メモリーであって、 a)基板と、 b)単一の第1の電磁放射ビームで照射されると蛍光性となる第1の形態と前 記第1の電磁放射線で照射されると非蛍光性となる第2の形態のどちらかで存在 する活性媒体材料を包含する少なくとも1つの層であり、1つの形態から他の形 態への転移が、前記第1の放射線のスペクトルとは異なるスペクトルによって定 められる単一の第2の電磁放射ビームで前記材料を照射する、すなわち、活性媒 体を包含する前記層を前記第1又は第2の電磁放射線で照射して、前記媒体内の さまざまな位置に分布しており、また、前記第1又は第2の形態の前記材料を包 含する複数の基本セルを前記活性媒体内に作成することによって実行することが 可能であり、前記基本セルが記憶される予定の情報に対して割り当てられる少な くとも1つの層とを含み、 c)活性媒体を包含する前記層を保護中間層で覆うことを特徴とする。 37.前記メモリーが活性媒体を持つ複数の層及び、これらを分割する中間層 を含み、前記中間層が前記第2の電磁放射線に対しては実質的に非透過性であり 、前記第1の電磁放射線に対しては実質的に透過性である、請求の範囲第36項 記載の3次元光メモリー。 38.前記層が同じ活性媒体を包含することを特徴とする、請求の範囲第36 項記載の3次元光メモリー。 39.前記層の内の少なくとも1つの層が、他の層と関連する活性媒体と異な る活性媒体を包含する、請求の範囲第36項記載の3次元光メモリー。 40.活性媒体を持つ前記層の厚みが0.5〜3μmであり、前記中間層の厚 みが5〜100μmである、請求の範囲第36項記載の3次元光メモリー。 41.前記基本セルが前記層の実質的にそれぞれの表面上に分布し、あるパタ ーンに従ってその上に配置される、請求の範囲第36項記載の3次元光メモリー 。 42.前記層が整合する屈折率を有する、請求の範囲第36項記載の3次元光 メモリー。 43.前記基本セルの長手方向寸法が0.6μm以下であり、それぞれの層内 での伸長部の長さが3μm以下である、請求の範囲第36項記載の3次元光 メモリー。 44.前記層の内の少なくとも1つの層が、他の層と関連する吸収スペクトル と異なる吸収スペクトルを有する、請求の範囲第36項記載の3次元光メモリー 。 45.前記メモリーがCD−ROMである、請求の範囲第36項記載の3次元 光メモリー。 46.前記メモリーがCD−WORMである、請求の範囲第36項記載の3次 元光メモリー。 47.前記メモリーがテープである、請求の範囲第36項記載の3次元光メモ リー。 48.前記メモリーがカードである、請求の範囲第36項記載の3次元光メモ リー。 49.前記メモリーがシリンダである、請求の範囲第36項記載の3次元光メ モリー。 50.前記層がトラックエラー検出手段を備えている、請求の範囲第36項記 載の3次元光メモリー。 51.前記層が、アドレス検出と関連した情報パターンを備えている、請求の 範囲第36項記載の3次元光メモリー。
