2. Description of the Related Art There has never been an effective means of preventing theft of a notebook personal computer, so that a considerably high theft rate cannot be reduced, and card slots are used in most electronic dictionaries, digital cameras and digital videos, for example. Alternatively, a cartridge is provided, and the same applies to a frequency spectrograph and an oscilloscope. Therefore, such a high-priced, lightweight, and compact electronic device needs to be provided with an anti-theft device. However, existing anti-theft devices have been difficult to apply to such lightweight and compact electronic devices. This is because the anti-theft device is difficult to attach to a small electronic device by adding it. Therefore, there is a need for an anti-theft device that does not require retrofitting the electronic device or is very convenient in use.

1. An anti-theft device used for preventing an electronic device having a card slot from being stolen, wherein the device is a launcher, the outside is a card-type shell, and is inserted into a card slot of an electronic device to be protected. The shell is provided with a firing switch for switching between an anti-theft function activation state and a power-off state of the launcher, and controls a circuit device including an encoder, a radio signal transmitter, and a launch antenna inside the shell and the circuit device. When the launcher is in the activated state of the anti-theft function, the launcher encodes a launch code with an encoder, and then launches as a wireless signal from a launch antenna via a wireless signal launcher. A circuit device including a decoder, a radio signal receiver, a receiving antenna, an alarm device, and a changeover switch, and a receiving device for controlling the circuit device. A control unit, wherein the changeover switch switches between a state where the anti-theft function of the receiver is activated or a state where the power is turned off, a receiving antenna receives an external radio signal, sends it to a radio signal receiver, and decodes it by a decoder. An anti-theft device for an electronic device having a card slot, comprising the above receiver.
