Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with the use of any sockets by a single printed wiring board by at least partially overlapping socket mounting parts for a thick neck and for a thin neck with the center part of the printed wiring board in a rectangular shape. SOLUTION: For the printed wiring board 17 in the rectangular shape for which a prescribed circuit pattern is arranged on a back surface, a through-hole 18 for inserting the exhaust part of a cathode-ray tube is provided on the almost center part and a tongue piece 19 integrated with the printed wiring board 17 is arranged at the through-hole 18 so as to close the part of the through-hole 18. At the part of the outer peripheral printed wiring board 17 of the through- hole 18, pin holes 20 for inserting plural socket pins for the thin neck are annularly pierced and the socket mounting part 9 for the thin neck is formed. Further, at the outer periphery of the pin holes 20, the pin holes 21 for inserting the socket pins for the thick neck are annularly pierced similarly and the socket mounting part 8 for the thick neck is formed. The respective pin holes 20 and 21 are pierced so as to be positioned at a prescribed circuit pattern part on the back surface.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventional cathode ray tubes of 14, 20 and 21 inches are not standardized, and the manufacturing method is different for each cathode ray tube manufacturer in Japan, Europe, the United States or Southeast Asia. In the cathode ray tube, for example, not only a cathode ray tube having a large diameter called a thick neck tube and a cathode ray tube having a small diameter called a thin neck tube coexist, for example, the difference in the diameter also causes the cathode ray tube stem to be reduced. The derived pin arrangement is also different. Since set manufacturers of television receivers and displays procure cathode ray tubes from different cathode ray tube manufacturing manufacturers in all countries, even if the same 20-inch television receiver model is manufactured, this set is required. As described above, the thick neck tube and the narrow neck tube are mixed and supplied, so that the drive board device of the cathode ray tube prepares two kinds of boards in advance according to each specification,
The actual situation is that the drive substrate device is selectively used at the manufacturing site in accordance with the cathode ray tube of each diameter.

In a conventional cathode ray tube drive board device, a dedicated drive board device is prepared for each of a thick neck tube and a thin neck tube, and the drive board device is prepared according to the type of the cathode ray tube to be used. They used different drive board devices. For this reason, low prices are required for the 14, 20, and 21-inch class sets, so preparing two types of dedicated drive board devices in this way means an increase in cost per se. Was not a preferred method. In addition, the use of drive board devices having different specifications may cause erroneous delivery in a production line, which requires not only trouble in sorting on the line but also the risk of erroneous use.

The printed wiring board 17 to which either the thick-neck or thin-neck sockets 10 and 16 having such a configuration is attached will be described.
The rectangular printed wiring board 17 in which the components are arranged is provided with a through hole 18 at a substantially central portion into which the exhaust portion of the cathode ray tube is inserted. The through hole 18 is formed so as to cover the through hole 18. A tongue piece 19 integrated with the printed wiring board 17 is disposed at the bottom. When the exhaust portion is long, the tongue piece 19 is cut to have only the through hole 18, and when the exhaust portion is short, it is left as it is. A pin hole 20 for inserting a plurality of socket pins for a thin neck is formed in an annular shape in a portion of the outer peripheral printed wiring board 17 of the through hole 18 to form a socket mounting portion 9 for a thin neck. Further, a pin hole 21 for inserting a socket pin for a thick neck is similarly formed on the outer periphery of the pin hole 20.
Are formed in an annular shape to form a thick neck socket mounting portion 8. These pin holes 20 and 21 are formed so as to be located at predetermined circuit pattern portions on the back surface. The pin holes 21, 21 have a shape corresponding to the outer edges of the sockets 10, 16 for the thick neck and the thin neck.
The socket bodies 11, 11 'along the outer circumference of the "0", and the arc-spin storage portions 15, 15' protruding from this portion.
Are indicated by broken lines on the surface of the printed wiring board 17 respectively.
Printed as 2 '. The external display units 22, 22
′ Are respectively provided with pin holes 20 and 21 so as to intersect each other. The printed wiring board 17 on the opposite side of the outer display portions 22 and 22 ′ from the a-spin storage portions 15 and 15 ′ is provided with: Mainly, a circuit element group such as a transistor 23, a diode 24, a resistor 25, and a capacitor 26 common to a thick neck and a thin neck is arranged. Other printed wiring boards 1
At a predetermined position 7, a common same-type circuit element or a circuit element 27 for a thick neck or a thin neck is arranged. Since either the thick neck socket 10 or the thin neck socket 16 is inserted and connected to the printed wiring board 17, a circuit element 27 corresponding to the socket is selected and arranged and connected at a predetermined position.

FIG. 2 is a plan view showing the plane of the printed wiring board 17, and the same portions as those in FIG. 1 are denoted by the same reference numerals and detailed description thereof will be omitted. In addition to the components shown in FIG. 1, circuit components such as the semiconductor integrated circuit 28 and jumper wires 29 are actually arranged and connected on the printed wiring board 17. The arrangement of the pin holes 20 of the thin neck socket in the figure shows that KG,
G2, KR, G1, H, H, KB, and the arrangement of the pin holes 21 of the thick neck socket is KB, H, H, KR, G
2, KG and G1, and it is apparent that the pin arrangement is clearly different. Note that KG is a green cathode and KR is
Indicates a cathode for red, KB indicates a cathode for blue, and H indicates a heater. Further, in the portion covered by the broken line at the lower left in the figure, circuit components such as a semiconductor integrated circuit for narrow neck, a capacitor, and a jumper wire used when the socket 16 for thin neck is mounted on the printed wiring board 17 are mounted. In part,
On the other hand, the portion covered by the broken line at the lower right is the portion where circuit components such as a semiconductor integrated circuit for thick neck, capacitors, jumper wires and the like used when the socket 10 for thick neck is mounted on the printed wiring board 17 are mounted. Is shown. As can be seen from this figure, when the narrow neck socket 16 is used, a part of the circuit component for the narrow neck is arranged in a portion where the a-spin storage portion of the socket for the thick neck is located. The space efficiency of the plate 17 is increased, and when a socket for a thick neck is mounted, the space efficiency at the tip portion or the like is utilized to improve the wiring efficiency.

FIG. 3 is a circuit pattern on the back surface of the printed wiring board 17.
FIG. 2 is a pattern diagram showing an outline of an example of the pin 30. In the pin arrangement of the thick neck and the thin neck, the pattern that can be shared is shared as much as possible, and the pattern of the pin that cannot be shared is as small as possible in the socket mounting portion. The positions of the socket mounting portions 8 and 9 are set to be substantially the same, though the angle is changed, by processing according to the pattern arrangement in the portions 8 and 9. When the primary color signal is supplied to the cathode, the heater H, the first and the first signals are used.
Since the second grids G1 and G2 apply the same potential bias to all three electrodes of red, blue and green, there is no problem in the actual operation even if the positions of the three primary color electrodes are different within the same electrode.

According to the present invention, even in the same inch size cathode ray tube, the same printed wiring board can cope with both the large neck and the small neck sockets having different diameters. Not only can it be constructed inexpensively, but also it is not necessary to prepare a plurality of different printed wiring boards in the production process, so that there is no need to increase the care and man-hours of the board, and it is possible to prevent misuse and the like. Further, by considering the arrangement of the socket mounting portion, it is possible to provide a drive board device with an improved space factor.
