Macchina (1) per la raccolta di piante erbacee, in particolare, di ortaggi; detta macchina (1) comprendendo: un telaio (2) di supporto sviluppantesi lungo una direzione di avanzamento (3) tra una propria estremità posteriore (4) ed una propria estremità anteriore (5); mezzi di taglio (7) delle piante erbacee collegati al telaio (2) di supporto in corrispondenza dell’estremità anteriore (5) e sviluppantisi lungo una direzione di taglio (8) trasversale alla direzione di avanzamento (3); detti mezzi di taglio (7) essendo, in uso, disposti in prossimità del suolo per tagliare le piante durante l’avanzamento della macchina (1); un organo di accumulo (17) delle piante erbacee tagliate collegato al telaio (2) di supporto ed estendentesi lungo la direzione di avanzamento (3) tra una propria porzione di ricevimento (18), disposta in prossimità dei mezzi di taglio (7) per ricevere le piante tagliate, ed una propria porzione di scarico (19) opposta alla porzione di ricevimento (18); caratterizzata dal fatto di comprendere una pluralità di barre (24) distanziate tra loro lungo la direzione di taglio (8) ed interposte tra l’organo di accumulo (17) ed i mezzi di taglio (7); ciascuna di dette barre (24) sviluppandosi principalmente dall’organo di accumulo (17) ai mezzi di taglio (7); dette barre (24) essendo, almeno in parte, reciprocamente mobili durante l’uso secondo una direzione trasversale alla direzione di taglio (8) in modo da trasportare le piante tagliate dai mezzi di taglio (7) all’organo di accumulo (17).
