La presente invenzione riguarda le macchine lavastoviglie, ed in particolare un cestello per lavastoviglie dotato di una mensola ribaltabile. The present invention relates to dishwashing machines, and in particular to a rack for dishwashers equipped with a hinged shelf.

Come è noto, i cestelli per lavastoviglie sono solitamente realizzati con fili metallici rivestiti in plastica e' saldati tra loro a formare una struttura di supporto per le stoviglie. Per rendere più flessibile l'utilizzo di tali cestelli, sono spesso previsti supporti mobili od amovibili che consentono di variare lo sfruttamento del cestello secondo le esigenze del momento. Tuttavia la presenza della mensola costituisce un ostacolo se occorre sfruttare il cestello superiore per stoviglie più ingombranti. Facendo riferimento alla fig.l, si vede che un tradizionale cestello superiore CS inserito nella vasca di una lavastoviglie prevede lungo il lato sinistro una mensola ribaltabile MR. A titolo di esempio si consideri che tale mensola MR può accogliere una tazza T di diametro massimo 86 mm, mentre sotto alla mensola può essere inserito un bicchiere B di altezza massima 125 mm. Se si desidera caricare nel cestello CS un contenitore C più ingombrante, la mensola MR può essere ribaltata in posizione verticale per eliminare il suo ingombro in orizzontale. È chiaro che per potere ruotare completamente la mensola occorre che la sua estremità libera non arrivi a toccare il cielo CV della vasca.
