Abstract

A novel panel for producing raised floors which are applied to existing floors leaving free hollow spaces for supply lines has two layers (1,2) based on water-hardened or air-hardened binders. The lower support layer (1) consists of hardened binder containing fibre material. The layer (2) disposed above this contains expanded clay (3) or an equivalent material, in addition to a fibre material. By this means, the composite panel has a lower specific weight than single-layer panels of a known type and, in addition, has an increased thermal and acoustic insulation capacity. <IMAGE>
