Abstract

A plant for the separation of small-sized material comprises a separation tank (1) which can be filled with liquid up to a predetermined level (L), a device (3) for feeding the material to be separated and conveying liquid into the tank (1) below said predetermined level at a pressure greater than that existing in the inlet area due to the weight of the mass of liquid contained in the tank itself and a first and second means for ejecting (23, 24) material from the tank (21, 24) positioned at said predetermined level and on the bottom of the tank (1) respectively for removing material having lower and higher specific weight respectively than that of the liquid contained in the tank. The means (24) for removing components of higher specific weight has features such that it provides in output a greater flow rate than that in input to the tank. An external circuit (34, 35, 37) is moreover provided for the partial recycling of the liquid discharged in the tank (1).
