DESCRIPTION

The present invention relates to an absorbent carrying sheath suitable for being positioned on the inguinal region of an adult, child or infant. The invention also relates to a diaper-panty comprising such an absorbent-carrying sheath.

Diapers-panties are already known, both for adults and for children, comprising a wrapping in which a sanitary napkin is inserted. The wrapping is in turn fixed, for example by means of press studs, to a panty.

In an attempt to maximize the seal against the leakage of leaks from the absorbent, known nappies have some drawbacks in terms of comfort. For example, the absorbent holder does not have a shape that adapts perfectly to the anatomy of the groin region and also the coupling with the panty causes some inconveniences. For example, the means of attachment between the towel holder and the panty are in contact with the user's skin and can leave marks on the skin itself. In some embodiments, in order to guarantee the seal, the sheath has curls along the edges in contact with the skin, which prevent even minimal relative movements between the sheath and the skin and which also cause discomfort and marks. left on the skin.

The object of the present invention is to propose an absorbent-carrying sheath and a nappy-panty using this sheath, capable of obviating the drawbacks of diapers according to the known art. Another purpose of the invention is to propose an absorbent cover and a diaper-panty able to offer maximum comfort for the user and at the same time able to guarantee an optimal seal against leaks. .

A further object of the invention is to offer an absorbent cover and a diaper-panty which are particularly simple to manufacture and assemble.

Said objects are achieved with an absorbent-carrying sheath according to claim 1 and with a diaper-panty according to claim 6. The dependent claims describe preferred embodiments of the invention.

The characteristics and advantages of the invention will in any case be evident from the following description of its preferred embodiment examples, given as an indication and not of limitation, with reference to the attached figures, in which:

- Figure 1 illustrates part of a roll of material from which a plurality of absorbent-holder covers according to the invention is obtained;

- Figures 2 and 2a are schematic plan views of the sheath in two phases of its formation;

- Figure 3 is a perspective view of the formed scabbard and a sanitary pad inside it;

In said drawings, 1 indicates an absorbent-carrying sheath suitable for containing an absorbent 100 in such a way that, in use, the assembly of the sheath 1 and the absorbent 100 housed inside it can be positioned in a region groin of an adult, child or infant. The sheath 1 and the person's skin enclose the sanitary pad 100 and form a barrier against any leakage from the sanitary pad.

The sheath 1 comprises a sheath body 3 made of an impermeable material. The sheath body 3 forms a front pocket 5 suitable for receiving a first end of the sanitary pad 100 and a rear pocket 7 suitable for receiving a second end of the sanitary pad 100.

The sheath body 3 is obtained from a flat piece 300 of trapezoidal shape delimited by a rear edge 301, a front edge 302, parallel and of shorter length than said rear edge, and two oblique lateral edges 303.

Figure 1 shows an example of a portion of a roll 400 of an impermeable material from which a plurality of pieces of material 300 are obtained with which to form absorbent-carrying sheaths 1. In particular, the roll of material 400 is divided into two half in the longitudinal direction and each half is cut transversely with oblique cuts in order to obtain adjacent pieces 300 without waste of material between two side-by-side pieces. In the event that the roll 400 has a width exactly equal to double the distance between the rear 301 and front 302 edges of the pieces of material 300, even in the transverse direction the waste is zero. Otherwise, a scrap is still obtained in the form of a rectangular strip that can be easily reused.

For example, the waterproof material in which the sheath 1 is made is a synthetic or mixed synthetic and natural fabric, for example polyester / cotton blend, internally laminated, or on the part on which the sanitary napkin rests, with a waterproof material, such as polyurethane.

Considering now a single piece as obtained from the roll of waterproof material of Figure 1, end portions 304, 306 of said piece ending with said front and rear edges are folded inwards and sewn to the side edges 303 so as to form the 5 front pocket and 7 back pocket.

In addition, the rear edge 301 and the side edges 303 are stretched, while the front edge 302 is not stretch. The front edge 302 does not need to be elastic as it already has a smaller width than the rear edge 301. The absence of elastic in the front edge 302 increases comfort as this edge remains softer, tightens less and leaves no marks on the user's stomach.

In a preferred embodiment, a rear elastic clevis 308 (schematically indicated with a thicker line in figure 2) is sewn on the rear edge 301 before the end portions 304, 306 of the piece 300 are folded inwards and sewn to the side edges 303 (figure 2). In this phase, any buttons 30, which will be discussed later, are fixed to the piece 300.

After the end portions 304, 306 of the piece have been folded inwards, lateral elastic brackets 310 (schematically indicated with a thicker line in figure 2a) are sewn on the lateral edges 303, so that said lateral brackets 310 form the front 5 and rear 7 pockets (Figure 2a). In other words, the lateral elastic U-bolts 310 perform the dual function of making the lateral edges 303 of the sheath elastic and of sewing the front 5 and rear 7 pockets.

Preferably, as will be explained hereinafter, the lateral elastic U-bolts 310 are placed under tension only in the intermediate portion of the respective lateral edges 303 which does not form the pockets. In other words, while the intermediate portion of the sheath 1 is elasticized so as to adapt to the size and anatomy of the user, at the level of the front 5 and rear 7 pockets the sheath 1 does not form curls but remains substantially flat and soft . Advantageously, the elastic U-bolts 308, 310 are made of a soft fabric and in any case suitable for coming into contact with the user's skin. For example, said elastic U-rings 308, 310 are tapes made with a first non-elastic yarn, for example polyamide, combined with a second elastic yarn, for example elastane. These U-bolts ensure a smooth, soft and wrinkle-free surface on the skin.

It should be noted that the parts of the sheath that come into contact with the user's skin are, in addition to the elastic U-bolts 308, 310, the external sides 5â € ™, 7â € ™ of the front 5 and rear 7 pockets which, being obtained from the folding towards the inside of the end portions 304, 306 of the starting piece 300, coincide with the external side of said piece, which is not covered with the waterproof material.

In an embodiment illustrated in Figures 2-7, the sheath 1 is adapted to be used with a panty 10 to form an article which is generally known as a diaper-panty.

As can be appreciated in particular from the view in separate parts of figure 5, the panty 10 comprises an intermediate portion 12 suitable for being positioned in the crotch area of an adult, a child or a newborn, a front portion 14 and a rear portion 16. The front 14 and rear 16 portions are suitable for being fastened together around the user's waist. For example, said front 14 and rear 16 portions of the panty 10 are provided with mutual fastening means, for example using Velcro strips 20, 20 ', automatic buttons, laces or other releasable fastening elements.

The panty 10 can be made in a natural or mixed natural and synthetic fabric.

The sheath 1 is mainly positioned on the inner side of said intermediate portion 12.

In a preferred embodiment, the sheath 1 is fixed in a removable way to the panty. This facilitates the washing and drying of the nappy and panty, for example as the lining laminated with a polyurethane material may not be suitable for drying with an automatic dryer, unlike the panty.

In the illustrated embodiment, the sheath 1 is coupled to the panty by means of press studs 30, 30â € ™. As can be appreciated in particular from figures 2 and 3, four buttons 30 of the sheath 1 are positioned near the side edges 303 and at the height of the front 5 and rear 7 pockets, that is, near the corners of the sheath when the pockets are been sewn. This positioning of the buttons inside the pockets 5, 7 avoids, unlike the external buttons with respect to the sheath as in the articles of the state of the art, that the user's skin is marked by the buttons themselves. Furthermore, the positioning near the corners allows the sheath 1 to be stretched as much as possible when it is fixed to the panty 10, avoiding unwanted curls. Furthermore, the positioning of the buttons 30 under the pockets 5, 7, where the fabric is not curled since the elastic U-bolt is tension-free as explained above, advantageously allows to fix the buttons 30, 30â € ™ on a flat area and therefore parallel to the inside of the panty 10.

In a preferred embodiment, a pair of rear buttons 30â € ™ of the panty is positioned in the intermediate portion 12 near the rear portion 16 and a pair of front buttons 30â € ™ is positioned in the front portion 14. Thus , The maximum extension of the sheath 1 is ensured and therefore the complete coverage of the userâ € ™ s inguinal region, even anteriorly.

In a preferred embodiment, the intermediate portion of the panty 12 has a trapezoidal shape, substantially related to the trapezoidal shape of the piece of fabric 300 which forms the sheath 1. As explained with regard to the sheath 1, also for the panty this trapezoidal shape, in addition to following the anatomy of the groin region, it allows to minimize waste when cutting out the intermediate portion of the panty from a roll of fabric.

In a preferred embodiment, the front portion 14 of the panty 10 comprises an elastic band 22 having a transversal dimension greater than the width of the intermediate portion. This elastic band 22 is connected to the intermediate portion 12 by means of arched edges 23.

Furthermore, this elastic band 22 has a height such as to be containing and at the same time soft and comfortable.

In one embodiment, the panty 10 is made of a double fabric. In this case, an elastic leg 24 can be sewn between the two flaps 12â € ™ which form the lateral edge of the intermediate portion 12 (figure 6). In a variant embodiment, the intermediate portion 12 is made of a single layer of fabric and the elastic leg 24 'is sewn onto said layer (figure 6a). In a further variant of construction, the intermediate portion 12 is made of a single layer of fabric which, along the side edges, forms a loop in which an elastic 24â € is inserted.

In a variant embodiment, the sheath 1 is permanently fixed to the panty 10, for example by means of seams.

In a further embodiment illustrated in Figure 8, the sheath 1 is not coupled to an actual panty, but is sewn to an external lining 40 which protrudes with respect to the front pocket 5 and the rear pocket 7 so to form a front band 42 and a rear band 44 bearing mutual connection means 46, 46â € ™, for example of the velcro type. These front 42 and rear 44 bands are suitable for fastening around the user's waist. Preferably, the outer covering 40 is sewn to the sheath 1 along the lateral edges of the latter, advantageously by means of the same elastic U-bolts 310 which form the pockets 5, 7.

In the variant embodiment of Figure 9, on the other hand, from the front pocket 5 extend two side flaps 50 equipped with front fastening means 52 suitable for connecting to corresponding rear fastening means 52â € ™ obtained for example on the outer side of the rear pocket 7. Said lateral flaps 50 allow the sheath 1 to be worn without the use of a panty 10 or an external covering 40.

The subject of the invention is also a sheath or a diaper-panty as described above, in which an absorbent 100 is inserted in the sheath.

In one embodiment, the absorbent 100 has a rectangular shape. The absorbent 100 is simply inserted into the pockets 5, 7 of the sheath without the use of fastening means. In this way, the absorbent separates from the sheath 1 during washing in the washing machine, without having to remove it manually.

In a variant embodiment, the sanitary napkin has a trapezoidal shape corresponding to the trapezoidal shape of the sheath.

As for the pad material, in one embodiment the pad has the outer layer facing the skin made of cotton or a curly bamboo yarn. The opposite outer layer can be microfleece, which is very draining. Inside, there may be one or more layers of sponge, for example microfibre.

In order to satisfy contingent needs, a person skilled in the art can make changes, adaptations and replacements of elements with other functionally equivalent ones to the embodiments of the absorbent cover and of the diaper-panty according to the invention, without departing from the scope of the following claims. Each of the features described as belonging to a possible embodiment can be realized independently of the other described embodiments.

Claims (14)

CLAIMS 1. Absorbent holder sheath, comprising a sheath body (3) made of an impermeable material, said sheath body (3) forming a front pocket (5) suitable for receiving a first end of a sanitary pad (100) and a pocket rear (7) suitable for receiving a second end of the sanitary pad, opposite to the first, so that, in use, the assembly of the sheath and the sanitary pad housed in the sheath can be positioned in a groin region of an adult , child or infant, the sheath and the skin of the person enclosing the sanitary pad (100) and forming a barrier against leaking from the sanitary pad, the sheath body (3) being obtained from a flat piece (300) of trapezoidal shape bounded by a rear edge (301), a front edge (302), parallel to and of shorter length than said rear edge, and two oblique lateral edges (303), in which end portions (304, 306) of said piece ( 300) ending with said front and rear edges they are folded inwards and sewn to the side edges (303) to form the front pocket (5) and the rear pocket (7). 2. Sheath according to claim 1, wherein only the rear edge (301) and the side edges (303) are elasticized. Diaper-panty, comprising a sheath (1) according to any one of claims 1-4 and a panty (10), where said panty comprises an intermediate portion (12) suitable for being positioned in the crotch area of an adult, a child or a newborn, a front portion (14) and a rear portion (16), suitable for being fastened together around the user's waist, the sheath being positioned mainly on the inner side of said intermediate portion (12). 10. Diaper-panty according to the preceding claim, in which the sheath is fixed in a removable way to the panty. 11. Nappy-panty according to the preceding claim, in which the sheath and panty are provided with press-studs (30, 30â € ™) for their removable coupling. 12. Nappy-panty according to the preceding claim, in which the buttons of the sheath (30) are positioned near the corners and inside the front and rear pockets. 13. Diaper-panty according to the preceding claim, wherein the panty is provided with a pair of front buttons (30â € ™) positioned in the front portion (14). Diaper-panty according to any one of claims 9-13, wherein the intermediate portion (12) of the panty has a trapezoidal shape adapted to the trapezoidal shape of the sheath.
