Claims

1) System (100) to monitor and remind when it is necessary to provide water to flowers or plants comprising:

- a vase (30) suitable for hosting flowers or plants,

- at least one wireless communication module (40) configured to communicate with a corresponding wireless communication module (51) of a smart portable device (50).

- at least one smart portable device (50).

2) System (100) according to claim 1, wherein the wireless communication module (40) is positioned on the external front surface of the vase (30) or is positioned in contact with the soil of the flower or plant.

3) System (100) according to any of claims 1 to 2, wherein the communication module (40) further comprises at least one probe adapted to measure the soil moisture of the flower or plant.

4) System (100) according to any of claims 1 to 3, wherein said system comprises an identification code (Idm; Idcop), said wireless communication module (40) being configured to transmit to the intelligent portable device (50) said identification code (Idm; Idcop).

5) System (100) according to any of claims 1 to 4, wherein the wireless communication module (40) comprises a memory unit (41), and wherein the wireless communication module (51) of the smart portable device (50) is configured to transmit to the wireless communication module (40) the name of the plant or flower (nomprod) and the date by which to provide water to the flower or plant (scadprod), wherein said name (nomprod) and date (scadprod) have been previously entered into the smart portable device (50) by means of an application (52) of the smart portable device (50), the name (nomprod) and the expiry or delivery date (scadprod) being stored in said memory unit (41).

6) System (100) according to any of claims 1 to 5, wherein said wireless communication module (40) of the system (100) is further configured to transmit to the smart portable device (50) said name (nomprod) and date (expprod), previously stored therein in the memory unit (41).

7) System (100) according to any of claims 1 to 6, further comprising visual signalling means (70) and a timer (42) in electrical communication with said visual signalling means (70), said timer (42) being configured to perform a countdown between a current date (datecurr) and the date by which to supply water to flowers or plants (expprod) and to control the switching on of the visual signalling means (70).

8) System (100) according to claim 7, wherein said visual signalling means (70) comprise an array of LEDs (71) and wherein said timer (42) is configured to control the switching on of a number of LEDs (71) equal to the difference between the date by which to water flowers or plants (exprprod) and the current date (datacurr).

9) System (100) according to any of claims 1 to 8, wherein:

- the wireless communication module (40) comprises a raised stamping of an alphanumeric or Braille character (72) on its external surface opposite that of the vessel (30) and

- the intelligent portable device (50) further comprises means of sound communication (53).

10) A method for monitoring and reminding when it is necessary to supply water to flowers or plants by the system according to any of claims 1 to 9 comprising the following steps:

a) insert the plant or flower inside the vase (30),

b) using the application (52) of the smart portable device (50), enter the name of the plant or flower (nomprod) and the date by which water must be supplied (scadprod),

c) the intelligent portable device (50) transmits the data of step b) to the wireless communication module (40) which stores them in the memory unit (41),

d) the wireless communication module (40) by means of visual signalling means (70) and a timer (42), displays the time remaining before the expiry date by which the plant or flower must be watered; or, alternatively, upon activation of the application (52) of the intelligent portable device (50), the intelligent portable device (50) warns the user that the date by which the plant or flower must be watered is approaching.
