La presente domanda di brevetto per invenzione industriale ha per oggetto una consolle allungabile dotata di gambe di estremità rimovibili, atte ad essere poste in opera soltanto in occasione dell’allungamento della piana della consolle medesima. The present patent application for industrial invention relates to an extendable console equipped with removable end legs, designed to be installed only when the plane of the console itself is lengthened.

Le peculiarità e i vantaggi della presente invenzione risulteranno più evidenti a seguito di una breve descrizione della tecnica anteriore e dei relativi aspetti critici. The peculiarities and advantages of the present invention will become more evident following a brief description of the prior art and the related critical aspects.

Già da qualche tempo sono commercializzati dei componenti di arredo noti come consolle allungabili. Furniture components known as extendable consoles have been on the market for some time.

La peculiarità di simili consolle è quella di vantare una geometria variabile, in considerazione della loro capacità di trasformarsi da un tavolo di piccole dimensioni, per l’appunto una tipica consolle, ad un tavolo da pranzo di notevole lunghezza atto ad ospitare un consistente numero di commensali. The peculiarity of such consoles is to boast a variable geometry, in consideration of their ability to transform from a small table, precisely a typical console, to a dining table of considerable length capable of hosting a substantial number of diners.

L’utilità di una tipica consolle allungabile risulta evidente, in quanto la stessa può mantenersi nel suo assetto compatto, in corrispondenza del quale minimizza il proprio ingombro, fintanto che non vi sia la necessità di imbandire una tavola, per poi trasformarsi al bisogno, e con notevoli velocità e semplicità, in un vero e proprio tavolo, con la necessaria cooperazione di apposite allunghe rimovibili. The usefulness of a typical extendable console is evident, as it can remain in its compact structure, in correspondence with which it minimizes its size, as long as there is no need to set a table, and then transform itself as needed, and with remarkable speed and simplicity, in a real table, with the necessary cooperation of special removable extensions.

In tale prospettiva si comprende altresì come una simile consolle abbia bisogno di una differente base di appoggio e di stabilizzazione a seconda che mantenga il proprio assetto compatto o che assuma il proprio assetto allungato. In this perspective it is also understood how such a console needs a different support and stabilization base depending on whether it maintains its compact structure or assumes its elongated structure.

A tale specifico riguardo si precisa che un tipo particolarmente diffuso di tali consolle allungabili si avvale di due identici elementi a portale – di fatto due minuscoli tavolini –, ciascuno dei quali formato per l’appunto da una coppia di gambe collegate in sommità da una piana. Tali guide sono di tipo allungabile da entrambe le parti (propriamente definite guide capaci di compiere corse bilaterali), in quanto formate da un elemento centrale fisso, atto a supportare due serie di aste scorrevoli assialmente, ciascuna delle quali destinata ad estendersi e a ritrarsi su di un rispettivo lato del medesimo elemento centrale fisso. L’aver previsto che i due anzidetti elementi a portale delle attuali consolle allungabili siano collegati da una coppia di tali aste allungabili “bilaterali”, fa sì che i due medesimi elementi a portale siano in grado alternativamente di portarsi a battuta, l’uno contro l’altro, o ad assumere posizioni di notevole distanza. Nel secondo caso, invece, i due elementi a portale si dispongono a notevole distanza, in una condizione in cui le guide ad essi frapposte assumono l’assetto di massima estensione e restano in vista tra l’uno e l’altro elemento a portale. In the second case, however, the two portal elements are arranged at a considerable distance, in a condition in which the guides placed between them assume the maximum extension and remain in view between one and the other portal element.

In tal modo le guide medesime si prestano a fungere da punto di appoggio per una serie di allunghe, dotate della stessa lunghezza delle piane degli anzidetti elementi a portale, destinate ad essere poste in opera, fianco a fianco, nello spazio compreso tra questi ultimi, dando vita con essi alla formazione di un’unica piana continua di notevole lunghezza. In this way, the guides themselves lend themselves to acting as a support point for a series of extensions, having the same length as the surfaces of the aforementioned portal elements, intended to be installed side by side in the space between the latter, giving life with them to the formation of a single continuous plain of considerable length.

Allorquando una simile consolle abbia raggiunto il proprio assetto esteso, nell’anzidetta condizione di massima distanza tra i due elementi a portale di estremità, si pone la necessità di dare un sostegno centrale alla lunga piana formata dalle allunghe. In mancanza di un simile sostegno centrale, infatti, questa lunga piana tenderebbe a flettere centralmente e a mostrarsi pericolosamente instabile, magari sotto il peso delle suppellettili appoggiate su di essa o nel momento in cui i commensali si appoggiassero su di essa. In alcuni casi tale elemento di supporto centrale consiste sostanzialmente in un puntone atto ad essere posto in opera tra il pavimento e la superficie inferiore delle guide allungabili. In some cases, this central support element substantially consists of a strut able to be placed between the floor and the lower surface of the extendable guides.

In particolare un simile puntone – configurabile alla stregua di una colonnina o magari di un cavalletto – risulta rimovibile, nel senso che può essere montato fintanto che la piana della consolle abbia raggiunto la sua massima lunghezza e smontato nel momento in cui la consolle debba recuperare il proprio assetto compatto. In particular, such a strut - which can be configured as a column or perhaps a stand - is removable, in the sense that it can be mounted until the plane of the console has reached its maximum length and disassembled when the console needs to recover the own compact trim.

Nel primo caso – vale a dire nell’assetto compatto della consolle – l’anzidetto telaietto girevole si dispone parallelamente a due anzidetti elementi a portale della consolle medesima; nel secondo caso invece – e cioè nell’assetto allungato della consolle – il medesimo telaietto girevole si dispone perpendicolarmente ai due medesimi elementi a portale, sostanzialmente in corrispondenza dell’asse mediano longitudinale della sovrastante lunga piana formata dalla successione delle allunghe. In tale condizione il telaietto girevole è in grado di offrire alla lunga piana sovrastante una base di appoggio centrale piuttosto ampia, senza neppure interferire con le gambe dei commensali seduti ai due lati della piana medesima. Ebbene, non vi è dubbio che una consolle tradizionale del tipo appena descritto meriti di essere apprezzata sul piano della funzionalità e delle versatilità. Ciò non toglie, però, che la stessa sia penalizzata da un inconveniente non certo trascurabile, soprattutto nel momento in cui sia mantenuta nel suo assetto compatto, allorquando cioè debba essere utilizzata come una classica consolle o come un piccolo tavolo destinati magari a sostenere soprammobili, vasi di fiori, bottiglie e altri oggetti di piccole dimensioni. Più precisamente questo inconveniente è legato al fatto che una simile consolle si trova ad avere ben quattro gambe, anche piuttosto ingombranti. More precisely, this drawback is linked to the fact that such a console has four legs, even if they are rather bulky.

Naturalmente queste quattro gambe sono quelle in dotazione – due per due – ai due anzidetti elementi a portale destinati alternativamente ad essere mantenuti a battuta l’uno contro l’altro o ad essere allontanati grazie alla presenza delle anzidette guide allungabili ad essi interposte. Del resto non si può neppure trascurare che le quattro gambe previste a sostegno di una piana di ridotta superficie, come quella di una consolle condotta nel suo assetto compatto, finiscono per occupare quasi tutto lo spazio verticale compreso tra il suolo e la faccia inferiore della piana della consolle medesima. Proprio l’attenta osservazione di tali inconvenienti ha portato a concepire la consolle allungabile che costituisce lo specifico oggetto della presente invenzione. It is precisely the careful observation of these drawbacks that led to the conception of the extendable console which is the specific object of the present invention.

Sostanzialmente l’idea di soluzione posta alla base di questo nuovo ritrovato è quella di capovolgere la logica con la quale fino ad ora sono stati realizzati i mezzi di appoggio e di stabilizzazione al suolo delle consolle allungabili. Basically, the idea of a solution at the basis of this new invention is to overturn the logic with which up to now the means of support and ground stabilization of the extendable consoles have been created.

Mentre infatti una consolle tradizionale si avvale di due coppie di gambe fisse, una per ciascuna delle sue estremità, ed un elemento di supporto centrale rimovibile, la nuova consolle secondo il trovato utilizza un elemento di supporto centrale fisso e due coppie di gambe rimovibili, una per ciascuna delle sue estremità. Queste due coppie di gambe, naturalmente, sono destinate ad essere poste in opera soltanto nel momento in cui la rispettiva consolle debba assumere il suo assetto esteso, a seguito del montaggio di un’usuale serie di allunghe, e necessiti, per l’appunto, di tre punti di appoggio al suolo. Si può dire pertanto che la consolle in questione, fintanto che mantenga il suo assetto compatto, si presenta sostanzialmente come un piccolo tavolo dotato di un’unica gamba centrale, potendo mostrare così un notevole equilibrio dimensionale e formale tra piano di appoggio ed elemento verticale di sostegno. In tal modo vengono certamente agevolate le operazioni di pulizia del pavimento al di sotto di una simile consolle, ma risulta finalmente anche possibile inserire una sedia o uno sgabello al di sotto della piana anzidetta.
