Abstract

The method for controlling the two-directional steering of self-steering axles of trucks and the like, of the type bearing a pair of wheels constrained revolvably to steering arms which are pivoted at the ends of the axles themselves and are articulated one with the other by means of a bar parallel to said axle, envisages blocking said wheels to the axle at the moment of engagement and disengagement of the reverse gear. The angular rotation of the axle integrally with the wheel is therefore provoked between a forward travel direction and a reverse position, in correspondence with which the pivots of the steering arms are arranged respectively in front and rear positions with respect to said axle. Locking of the wheels to the axle is deactivated in correspondence with said end of stroke positions. <IMAGE>
