Abstract

An electrical connector unit 2 comprises an electrical connector body 4 and a retaining part 60, in which the retaining part 60 includes locking parts 84 that can be locked to corresponding tracks 50 on the outside of the housing 4. The tracks 50 and the locking parts 84 permit lateral movement of the retaining part 60 towards a position in which the retaining parts 78 and 80 are disengaged from the corresponding shoulders 36 and 34 of the housing 4; the retaining parts can then be moved axially to a final locking position in which they are positioned inside the cavities in the housing that house the terminals.
