Abstract

La presente invenzione riguarda un procedimento per la preparazione di ginkgolide B da ginkgolide C e riguarda il ginkgolide B così ottenuto. Il procedimento comprendendo la seguente successione di quattro stadi: - protezione del gruppo 10-ossidrilico del ginkgolide C mediante trasformazione in un estere alchilico, la reazione venendo effettuata in dimetilformammide ad una temperatura compresa tra 15° C e 50° C per 4-10 ore;- attivazione del gruppo 7-ossidrilico del ginkgolide C 10 protetto così ottenuto mediante trasformazione in un estere (R) tiocarbonilico, l'attivazione venendo effettuata in condizioni alcaline ad una temperatura compresa tra 0° C e 40° C per 1-24 ore;- deossigenazione del gruppo 7-attivato nel ginkgolide C 10-protetto 7-attivato così ottenuto trattandolo con idruro di tributil-stagno oppure con tris-(trimetilsilil)silano, in un solvente aprotico, in presenza di un generatore a radicali liberi, la reazione venendo effettuata ad una temperatura compresa tra 70° C e 110°C per 15 minuti fino a 3 ore, sotto atmosfera inerte,e - scissione del gruppo protettivo dal gruppo 10-ossidrile del ginkgolide B 10-protetto così ottenuto.
