Abstract

Method for the automatic packing of photographic prints characterised by the fact that: - the pack of prints 6 relating to each order is separated into sub packs of prints, - each print 6 of a sub pack is upturned with respect to the corresponding print of the other sub pack, - each upturned print is combined with the corresponding non-upturned print, forming a pair of prints, in which the surface with the photographic image is turned towards the outside, - the two prints of each pair are simultaneously inserted into the same pocket 8 of a continuous belt 4 formed from two sheets of transparent material joined together along one edge and having a number of transverse connecting lines 10 equidistant from each other and forming a series of pockets, - the said belt 4 is caused to advance, after the prints have been inserted, by a length equal to the spacing between the pockets 8, - the next pair of prints 6 is inserted into the next pocket 8 of the said continuous belt 4 and - the belt of pockets is cut transversely in accordance with the desired type of packing required for the order. <IMAGE>
