Abstract

Un sistema base (3) quale un calcolatore a uso personale, associato ad almeno una altra espansione preesistente (3a), comprendente una scheda di espansione a configurazione dinamica (4) che include un dispositivo (5) di configurazione delle risorse del calcolatore personale in funzione della scheda di espansione stessa (4) tenendo conto della o delle preesistenti schede di espansione (3a). La scheda di espansione (4) comprende una logica operativa (6) e mezzi a programma operativi alla attivazione del sistema disposti per analizzare il sistema e riconoscere lo spazio delle risorse disponibili scegliendo in questo spazio la configurazione da assegnare alla scheda (4). Quest'ultima è munita di mezzi atti a memorizzare la configurazione stabilita da detti mezzi a programma e a mantenerla per tutta la sessione operativa e può essere destinata a qualsiasi scopo entro l'ambito delle risorse disponibili del sistema.(fig. 1).
