Un organo frenante (40; 70) imperniato sul corpo del supporto a rotelle orientabili presenta due pareti laterali con porzioni di bordo rivolte verso l'esterno impegnabili con le rispettive superfici a tamburo. L'impegno può aver luogo in una posizione superiore (figure 1-3) oppure in opposizione alla porzione delle ruote che entra in impegno con il terreno (figure 4-5).
