Abstract
The present invention concerns a new type of acoustic transmitter for low frequencies, said device exploiting the acoustic energy emitted by both membranes of the amplifier/s used. Said amplifier is set inside the device and acoustic radiation is carried out by means of one or more openings (or channels) and one (or more) "passive radiators".In order to obtain said performance, the physical parameters of all the components of the system are bound together by precise relations that are also included in the present patent and that are described hereafter. The present device works as an acoustic band-bypass filter of the fourth total category (high-bypass of the second category + low-bypass of the second category), as a band-bypass filter of the sixth total category (high-bypass of the third category + low-bypass of the third category). Therefore it gives a real frequency response ranging from the least (frequency F1) and the highest one (frequency F2). The peculiar conformation of the device as sixth category filter, with all the relative and necessary components and relations binding together the various quantities, is also included in the present patent.The present device has various benefits if compared with standard, low frequency transmitters, such as enhanced transmittable acoustic power, reduced amplifier diaphragm excursion in the rage of the system passing band, enhanced efficiency for electro-acoustic conversion and reduced, transmitted harmonic distortion. The structure of the present device is simple, and its realization does not imply higher costs than traditional devices.
