Abstract
A separate hinge-post moulding (5) is located between each two successive panels (2), creating a series of hinged joints. Each joint incorporates two mating surfaces (9,12) in the form of an arc of a circle, whose radii converge on the hinge pin. Two seals (7,8) remain in sliding contact with the mating surfaces when the single panel is swung on the hinge post. At each hinged joint, the adjacent surfaces of the hinge post moulding and the adjacent upright panel frame moulding create a heat and sound tight enclosure, insulated by the two seals. The hinge post moulding is pref. of H-section, with a seal on each of the four limbs.
