Abstract

Pesticidal device comprises at least one thin sheet substrate enclosed in a package, the surface of the substrate being 5-60% of the total surface of the package. The substrate is 1-10 mm thick and is impregnated with a liq. pesticidal compsn. (including insecticides, moth-control agents and repellants), and the package is made of a gas-permeable material having good desorption properties. Also new is a device for indicating when a packaged volatile prod. has lost its activity. It comprises a single sheet with at least one region marked 'replacement time'. The sheet is folded to form outer and inner layers with the marked region hidden. The marked region forms the inner layer and that part of the outer layer corresp. to the marked region forms a removable portion, marked with a 'starting time', and can be detached above the fold line. The inner and outer layers are bonded together at their upper ends, or the entire item is fitted to the package prod.
