Abstract

The machine comprises a multidosing drum for depositing successive pairs of discrete doses of a product side by side along a first web of filter paper while advancing the web horizontally. A second web of filter paper is superimposed over the first web, and the webs are sealed to separately enclose each product dose in an infusion bag. The superimposed webs are severed longitudinally and transversely to separate the bags from one another, and the separated bags are stacked side by side. A vertical separator (24) maintains the separation of the stacks and a pivotal retainer (26) retains the bags in a stack formation.
