Abstract

(1) Partly retroinverted tuftsin analogues of formula (I) and their salts, esters and amides are new. R = side-chain of threonine, methionine or leucine; R1 = side-chain of lysine or arginine; R2 = H or metabolically labile acyl gp. (2) Intermediates of formula (II) are new. R1' = side-chain of lysine or arginine in which the amino or guanidino gp. is suitably protected; P'' = easily removable carboxyl protecting gp.; P' = easily removable guanidino protecting gp.; R' = side-chain of threonine, methionine or leucine in which any functional gps. are suitably protected. Also corresp. cpds. in which the protecting gps. have been removed are new.
