Abstract

A speaker device comprises a baffle case and a number of small speakers mounted in a vertical array in close proximity one to another in the baffle case. Each of the speakers includes a diaphragm having a front and rear face and a number of acoustical baffles for reveiving sound radiated from the rear face of a speaker. The number of the acoustical baffles is equal in number to the number of the speakers with one of the acoustical baffles associated with the rear face of each of the respective speakers. Each of the acoustical baffles includes an opening, and a number of small horns is equal to the number of the speakers such that one of the horns is associated with each of the speakers. Each of the horns has a throat connected to the opening of the one of the speakers with which the horn is associated. The number of horns vertically are stacked one on the other in the baffle case and joined at a common mouth in the baffle case.
