Abstract

The equipment produces pressings of compressible material, and in particular permanent magnets from ferrous particles. It comprises a die plate (10) with one or more recesses (12) and a filter assembly (22) on one side of the plate shutting off the recesses. A die cover plate is moved against the other side of the die plate, and a compressible thick suspension is delivered into the recesses. Pressure is applied so as to force the liquid out through the filter, producing a pressing of the desired shape in each recess. The die plate can be in one piece, while the recesses are so shaped that the completed pressings can be ejected from them. Alternatively, where this is not possible it can be in two halves, moved apart to free the pressing.
