Abstract
The polyphase converter consists of a power amplifier which can operate over a wide input frequency range. The line to line output voltage of conventional three phase outputs is increased and the system operates at maximum phase to earth voltage. It consists of a variable oscillator which can supply a series of different voltages with a predetermined frequency, and with a fixed phase relationship relative to each other. There is an electrical network connected between the variable oscillator and the amplifier for converting each of the separate signals in a fixed phase relationship. The amplifier is three phase and the variable oscillator is a sine wave generator. The electrical network consists of a limiting circuit, a filter for third harmonics and an inverting adding amplifier.
