Abstract
The thermocouple is for detecting a flame in gas or oil heating systems. It comprises two electrodes respectively connected by an internal conductor and an external tubular conductor to a pair of output terminals. It has a supplementary pair of output terminals (17, 18) and a junction box (16), this junction box (16) forming a conducting bridge (12) between the split parts (13a, 13b) of the external conductor (13). One of the supplementary terminals (17) being connected to a part of the internal conductor (12) which is exposed between the two parts of the external conductor. The other supplementary terminal (18) being connected to the junction box (16) or the external conductor (13).
