Abstract

1. A process for producing an ethylene/1-butene copolymer from ethylene in contact with a mixture of a dimerization catalyst and a polymerization catalyst, the said mixture comprising at least one alkyl titane, at least one transition metal halogenide selected from the group consisting of titanium trichloride and vanadium trichloride, at least one ether and at least one aluminum compound selected from the group consisting of the hydrocarbylaluminums and the dialkyluminum hydrides.
