Claims (4)

1. An automatic firearm, particularly an automatic pistol comprising a handgrip, a stock and a firing device, which is arranged both for firing single shots and for firing bursts and to this end includes a spring-connected toothed switching member rotatable about a shaft, said member having two separate tooth surfaces and two cooperating switch pawls, the position of the switching member, being adjustable by means of the spring and an adjustable stop, wherein said stop is formed by a member arranged on a pivotable handgrip and in the folded position of the handgrip acts on the switching member.
2. A firearm according to Claim 1, wherein in the folded position of the handgrip the stop urges the toothed switching member into the single-shot position.
3. A firearm according to Claim 1, wherein in the opened position of the handgrip the spring biasses the toothed switching member into the position for firing bursts.
