Description
HOVEL SYSTEM FOR THE OF A The present invention relates to novel system for the operation of a cistern or similar in particular to a novel system which permits the discharge of liquid from the cistern and particularly from the type of cistern used in sanitary although said system may he used fo other types of receptacles in which a liquid charge system According to the no special mechanism used said novel system and no valves are necessary except those provided for the admission of liquid to the In this manner the new system is simplified and wear and tear experienced in conventional cisterns in the defective operation of the parts are With regard to this in especially to cisterns for sanitary there are known a number of devices for the discharge of the contained for example those which comprise a rubber stopper which obturates and opens the discharge conduit by means of a connected member which operated from the outside of the member being connected to cated While this system fulfils the function for which it it does not prevent the deterioration of the component par which is caused by continuous rotary movements and causes considerable wear the parts operating within the these parts being saturated with humidity and thereby subject to The defective parts produce movementB and operation in the stopper for obturating the discharge conduit must be positioned exactly above the opening of the discharge conduit and adhere to the surface thereof for proper Impurities which may be contained in the in particular time adversely affect the hermetic closure of the c so that the required obturation is not properly Other known systems for the discharge of comprise a syphon provided within a liquid which syphon has a plurality of orifices the bottom thereof which are obturated by a Circular fr element adapted to be placed by mechanical operation and which then permits the flow of the liquid through orifices when the syphon thereby discharging the liquid from the While this arrangement is it likewise needs the provision of mechanica elements which are subjected to wear and tear and In impairs the proper operation Other systems comprise a syphon made of flexible material disposed within the liquid in a the priming of the syphon obtained b oscillation which produced by mechanical As hereinbefore elements the continuous oscillation logically produce and the outwear of the mechanical in requires the replacement of damaged The system of the present invention totally eliminates the requirement for any type of mechanism to cause the discharge of the liquid from cisterns for sanitary as well as in any other receptacles which it may be According to the the receptacle for the liquid is made of a flexible plastic which is of utmost since pressure upon the flexible walls of the cistern cause the syphon to be said syphon being located in the interior of the The syphon may be made of any material suitable for achieving the constructive purposes of the but is preferably made of a plastic The flexibility of the material of the receptacle permits the walls thereof to be manually compressed thereby raising the level of the liquid contained therein and thus flooding the space in the inner curvature of one of the conduits of the This action primes the syphon and thereby effects the immediate discharge of the liquid contained in the It is understood that the pressure upon the receptacle itself serves to actuate the The plastic from which the receptacle the compression of any portion of the walls and for the compressed portion to return immediately to its original position when the pressure is For functional and constructive purposes and in order to provide suitable distance between the stable level of the liquid the receptacle and ment in order to flood the curvature of the an adequate size of the receptacle has to be calculated to ensure the total discharge of the volume of the liquid in the interior of the The adequate size permits substantially reduction the distance which must be provided between the stable leve of the liquid and its displacement level in direct proportion to the manual pressure which must be exerted on the walls of the The invention eliminates all valve except those which are necessary for the admission of the liquid into the The device for the admission of the liquid into the comprises faucet operated by an arm which supports a said faucet comprising a perforated circular core which rotates a said perforated core obturating or opening the faucet for the admission of the liquid into the according to the position of the by the of the float Such a system may used for regulating the passage of gas or never previously been applied to notwithstanding the fact that it eliminates the provision of complicated valve The which made of plastic material is perfectly adjusted and ensures since such material does not For a better understanding and to enable the invention to be carried it will now be described with reference to the attached drawings in by way of example are shown 1 a longitudinal section and the interior of one embodiment of the being a cistern in a sanitary installation which is in an inoperative 2 a of the cistern shown in 3 plan view of the the lid being illustrating the front wall of cistern said wall is and shape of the upper of the the position of the front wall of the cistern shown in 2 when it is compressed and thus causes rise in the level of the 5 the front wall according to when it 6 a section of the which regulates the admission of the liquid the 7 the faucet shown in 6 when the inflow of the liquid is obturated and the consequent position of the arm of the In the 1 denotes the which made of flexible plastic 2 the liquid contained in the the cistern being provided with syphon 3 which has a curvature the width of said curvature being proportional to the circulation capacity of the liquid equal to that of the 5 and 6 of syphon This arrangement allows the level 7 of the liquid to rise by manual pressure exerted a limitative on the front wall of the acle and to flood the interior of curvature thus priming the syphon thereby immediately ing all the liquid contained in the receptacle through the outlet provided at the bottom of the Because of its the wall returns immediately to its original position when the operator relaxes pressure which operation may be repeated when the liquid level again reaches a determined the inflow of the liquid being controlled by float arrangement 9 which is connected by arm to faucet said faucet comprising a Cylindrical core 2 provided an ation said core being positioned a cylindrical casing The inflow of the liquid into the receptacle take8 place via faucet through pipe which is disposed helow the level of the inlet of the conduit of the which disposition prevents the ion of noise the liquid flows into the insufficientOCRQuality
