Description
CHUTE WITH HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT MEMBERS n l) ιυιηυ a> ^ a Peari Cohen Zedek Latzer P-74798-IL CHUTE WITH HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT MEMBERS Technical field of the invention The present invention relates to a chute.
Prior art Document EP 1 138 840 describes a chute comprising a bowl and a lid resting on the bowl by means of screws allowing the lid to be adjusted in height. One drawback of this chute is that adjusting the height of all the screws is a tedious operation, all the more so since it is necessary to carry out this adjustment in a precise manner so that each screw has the same height.
Document EP 1 908 887 describes a chute comprising a bowl and a lid resting on the bowl by means of spacer parts. To be able to be set at different heights, it is necessary to provide several sets of spacer parts.
Summary of the invention One problem that the present invention proposes to solve is the provision of a chute that does not have at least some of the aforementioned drawbacks of the prior art .
The solution proposed by the invention is a chute comprising a bowl, a lid furnished with at least one opening allowing liquid to flow into the bowl, and height-adjustable elements arranged between the lid and the bowl, characterized in that at least one of said height-adjustable elements comprises a spacer body having two first faces spaced at a first distance and two second faces spaced at a second distance different from the first distance, said spacer body being capable of being arranged in a first position in which the first faces are in contact with respectively the bowl and the lid, and in a second position in which the second faces are in contact with respectively the bowl and the lid.
By virtue of these features, it is sufficient to position the spacer body in its first or second position to obtain a height adjustment. This can be done very easily and rapidly without requiring high precision.
Preferably, the first faces are parallel with one another and the second faces are perpendicular to the first faces.
In this case, the transition from the first position to the second is carried out by a rotation through 90° of the spacer body.
According to a particular embodiment, the spacer body comprises a parallelepipedal portion having said first faces and said second faces.
Such a shape is particularly simple to produce.
Advantageously, the spacer body comprises a first lug protruding from one of the first faces and a second lug protruding from one of the second faces, the bowl having a receiving orifice receiving the first lug, respectively the second lug, when the spacer body is in its first position, respectively its second position.
This allows a precise and stable positioning of the spacer body relative to the bowl.
According to one embodiment, the first lug and the second lug have a cruciform section, the receiving orifice having a corresponding cruciform section.
Preferably, said height-adjustable elements comprise a plurality of bodies identical to said spacer body.
According to a particular embodiment, the spacer body has two third faces spaced at a third distance different from the first distance and from the second distance, said spacer body being capable of being arranged in a third position in which the third faces are in contact with respectively the bowl and the lid.
Brief description of the figures The invention will be better understood and other objects, details, features and advantages of the latter will be more clearly revealed during the following description of a particular embodiment of the invention, given only by way of illustration and being nonlimiting, with reference to the appended drawings. In these drawings: - figure 1 is a view in perspective and partially exploded of a chute according to one embodiment of the invention, and - figure 2 is a view in perspective of a spacer body of the chute of figure 1.
Detailed description of one embodiment of the invention The chute 1 shown in figure 1 is designed to be sunk into the floor, for example into the floor of a shower, in order to drain the water away. It comprises a bowl 2 and a lid 3.
In an installed state, the bowl 2 is buried in the floor and the lid 3 covers the bowl 2 and is flush with the floor level. The lid 3 has one or more opening (s) (not shown) allowing the water to flow into the bowl 2. The bowl 2 is connected to a discharge pipe (not shown) .
The bowl 2 comprises a base 4, for example made of metal or plastic, which has a rectangular top opening. The bowl 2 also comprises a rectangular attachment element 5 arranged in the opening of the base 4. The attachment element 5 makes it possible to connect a sealing membrane (not shown) to the base 4. The attachment element 5 is attached to the base 4 by virtue of screws 6.
As shown in figure 1, the attachment element 5 has a plurality of receiving orifices 7. Each receiving orifice 7 has a cruciform section and is designed to receive the lug of a spacer body 8.
A spacer body 8 is shown in perspective in figure 2. It comprises a substantially parallelepipedal portion, having six faces, indicated by reference numbers 9 to 14. The distance between the face 9 and the face 10 is less than the distance between the face 11 and the face 12. The spacer body 8 also comprises a first lug 15 protruding from the face 9 and a second lug 16 protruding from the face 12. The lug 15 and the lug 16 have a cruciform section corresponding to that of the receiving orifices 7.
Figure 1 shows that the chute 1 comprises a plurality of identical spacer bodies 8 which are shown in a first position.
In this first position, for each spacer body 8, the first lug 15 is inserted into a receiving orifice 7, the face 9 rests against the attachment element 5, and the lid 3 rests, at a peripheral edge 17, on the face 10. The lid 3 is therefore placed at a certain height relative to the bowl 2, corresponding to the distance between the face 9 and the face 10. This height is indicated on the face 13 by a number oriented so as to be read in the correct direction when the spacer body 8 is in its first position.
The spacer bodies 8 may also be arranged in a second position not shown.
In this second position, for each spacer body 8, the second lug 16 is inserted into a receiving orifice 7, the face 12 rests against the attachment element 5, and the lid 3 rests, at the peripheral edge 17, on the face 11. The lid 3 is therefore placed at a certain height relative to the bowl 2, corresponding to the distance between the face 12 and the face 11. This height is indicated on the face 14 by a number oriented so as to be read in the correct direction when the spacer body 8 is in its second position.
Since the distance between the face 9 and the face 10 is less than the distance between the face 11 and the face 12, the height of the lid 3 is different depending on the position of the spacer bodies 8. The spacer bodies 8 therefore allow the lid 3 to be adjusted in height .
With the spacer bodies 8, it is possible to position the lid 3 at two different heights. The chute 1 may comprise a second set of spacer bodies 8, of the same shape as the spacer bodies 8, but of different dimensions. By using this second set, the lid 3 can be positioned at two other heights.
In a variant not shown, the face 13 or the face 14 also has a protruding lug. This makes it possible to position the lid 3 at a third height relative to the bowl 2. the foregoing description, "lid" and "bowl" are understood to be the two subassemblies held at a distance by the spacer bodies. These two subassemblies may comprise additional elements to those shown in the figures, such as a frame. The spacer bodies are in contact with the two subassemblies.
Although the invention has been described in connection with a particular embodiment, it is quite clear that it is in no way limited thereto and that it includes all the technical equivalents of the means described and their combinations if the latter are included in the scope of the invention.
