Abstract
1410839 Feeding tobacco IMPERIAL GROUP LTD 17 April 1974 [28 April 1973] 20295/73 Heading A2C [Also in Division Dl] Loose fibrous material e.g. tobacco or wool is fed through an inlet 18 to the ascending surface of a drum 10 rotatable about a horizontal axis and provided with an external series of circumferentially spaced longitudinal rakes 12 and thereafter the fibrous material is removed by suction from one of at least two openings 15 in a top portion of a housing 13 which surrounds the drum 10. As shown inlet 18 may be served by hopper 19 inclined at about 45, a window 19a and level 20 serving to control additions by a photo-electric cell.
