Abstract

1364715 Making terminals CANNON ELECTRIC (GREAT BRITAIN) Ltd 14 Sept 1972 [7 Oct 1971] 46702/71 Heading B3A [Also in Division H2] A number of channel-section clips. Fig. 1, are each linked by a narrow portion to a bandolier strip 13, and each clip has inwardly projecting portions 8, 9, 11, 12, which can hold captive a contact blade, Fig. 2, with the resilient tang 10 entering aperture 3. The bandolier strip is used to convey the blades through a plating bath for the deposition of a contact metal, such as gold, at the contact-making portion 4 of the blade. The bandolier strip and linking portions are then cut away, and the clips, fitted into body apertures of an electrical connector, continue to retain the contact blades in use. [GB1364715A]
