1298690 Auxiliary tables for furniture FORGES DE STRASBOURG 27 April 1970 [2 May 1969] 20069/70 Heading A4H An auxiliary table top A is connected to a bureau &c. by a connecting rod 5 that is pivoted to the top A and to the bureau. The pivot on the bureau may be a split clamp as in Fig.3 (not shown) and the rod 5 may be locked in its pivotal position and the pivot on the table may also be locked in its pivotal position. The length of the connecting rod 5 may be no less than half the length of the small side of the table top and be situated on the medium plane of the top so that the table may be moved to align with adjacent edges of the bureau as shown in Fig.2. The table top may also be pivoted under the bureau and may be provided with feet 8 supporting drawers &c. 9 or a waste paper basket. [GB1298690A]
